Last month, while traveling with my family and stopping over at Don Mueang International Airport, we decided to grab a quick meal at the McDonald’s there. We are looking for fast and reliable option, it was an easy choice. The McDonald’s at Don Mueang is typical of airport fast-food spots. It’s conveniently located and has the standard bright, functional decor. It’s practical, with enough seating, though it can get quite busy depending on the time of day. Service was efficient and in line with McDonald’s standards. The staff were quick and polite, but with the high volume of travelers, everything felt a bit rushed. It’s what you’d expect at a busy airport location—fast but not particularly personal. The food was exactly what you’d expect from McDonald’s. I had a classic burger meal, and while it was tasty enough, it didn’t offer anything beyond the usual fare. The burger was well-cooked, and the fries were hot and crispy. It was satisfying and familiar but didn’t stand out in any particular way. McDonald’s at Don Mueang serves its purpose well as a quick and reliable meal stop. If you’re looking for convenience and familiarity, it’s a good choice. However, if you have a bit more time and want something unique, there are other dining options in the airport that might give you a more memorable taste of Thai cuisine. For a fast, dependable bite while you’re on the go at Don Mueang, McDonald’s hits the mark. It’s a solid option, but if you’re interested in exploring, you might find more interesting choices elsewhere in...
Read moreMcDonald’s is McDonald’s, right? I don’t think I can go much higher than 4 stars for a Micky D’s location, unless something spectacular happened there. This location in Don Mueang is a good location. If you don’t come during a rush, it’s really clean. They also have a huge row of counter seating with plenty of working electrical plugs.
You order at the electronic kiosks and can either pay there by card or at the counter with cash, similar to the US system and the system I’ve seen in Italy. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with no add-ons. The sandwich was really tasty. The meat was juicy and it tasted fresh. It seemed to have been fried to order, the bun wasn’t soggy, the lettuce wasn’t wilted, and the mayo was good.
From the few times I’ve been here and today’s experience, I can say this is a good airport McDonald’s. You’ll get what you’re looking for, it’ll be fresh, and you’ll have an opportunity to charge up devices or get a bit...
Read moreIt’s a rather small kiosk tucked within a small food corner in the international departure. The French fries were rather bland and lacks the signature potato tangy flavor that all McDonald French fries has. I’m not sure if it’s the chaos that reduced the flavor or it is typical of all Thai McD. They do not have the chili sauce we are used to have but instead a Thai sweet chili sauce is available. The odd feature seems to be the tomato sauce. They offer a American ketchup variation.
The soft serve ice cream is available only in vanilla and trust me, sugar level on a 0-10 scale is 11 ! I could not take a second bite without visualizing my poor pancreas screaming for help as it struggles to excrete every bit of insulin left to neutralize the glucose deluge. I recommend to skip unless you’re in need of...
