Worst experience of our stay in Samui. We come here because in the reviews we saw some nice photos of mixed dishes with cured meats and cheeses. we arrive and ask to have a dish like the photo and we immediately see the heads shaking as if they had never seen it (when in reality there are also photos with these dishes on the walls of the restaurant), ten minutes to understand what they should do. finally the dish arrives and we immediately notice the preservation of the cured meats since we felt the ham was a little old and the salami was a little black, cost of the dish: 1100b and given the prices displayed for the cured meats and cheeses the cost seems a little excessive. However, no problem and I ask to pay by card and here the owner starts to be aggressive, I was 30 baht short of reaching the amount I ask to go and collect some money and saying that it would be advisable to write it down (cash only) as we have seen in other restaurants. here the owner starts to rail against us saying that she decides what to do for her restaurant. terrible experience, we would have paid less in Europe than here and it is the first time that here in Thailand we have been...
Read moreVery disappointing experience with Samui Gourmet. I previously ordered a beautiful cheese and charcuterie platter from them back in October, which was well-presented and worth the price. This time, I ordered a 900g cheese platter and what I received was mostly processed yellow cheese, with barely any of the other cheeses listed in the order (white cheddar, Edam, Swiss). The quality looked like something from Makro—not a gourmet platter.
I reached out privately with photos and a calm message hoping to give feedback, especially since many of our party guests (who are also regulars) were shocked by the downgrade. Instead of resolving it, they blamed me, deflected the issue, and then blocked me on Messenger.
This wasn’t about presentation—it was about poor quality and imbalance in the product I paid for. The lack of accountability and customer service was the most disappointing part.
Sadly won’t be ordering again, and I hope others are aware before...

I just ordered a double cheeseburger which I had to throw in the bin after the first bite.
The owner/manager helped prepare the burger with his own bare hands which he’d just used to adjust his trousers (crouch area) before then wiping his entire face after yawning into his palms.
I’ve just wasted 400THB on inedible food.
I went back to the restaurant to return the burger as I was initially feeling uneasy about bringing this up. They agreed to give me a new bun while I watched them prepare it. The sous chef wore gloves but then preceded to wiping them with a wet cloth from the counter top before handling my burger again.
I should have just asked for a refund.
The burger tasted stale and off.
Avoid this place - as hungry as you might be.
Absolutely disgusting.
The only good thing: the sous chef was polite and seemed like a genuine guy. Management needs to implement higher food hygiene standards...
