Charlie's — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

I reserved a table for New Year’s Eve through the restaurant’s Facebook account, where the host felt comfortable enough to ask us where would be prefer to be seated (inside) and assured us about some vegetarian options available.

So me and my spouse got to the place around 20:00, for our reservation. Turns out we weren’t even on the list. After showing the hostess the correspondence on Facebook chat, she apologized and asked us to wait a bit by the bar.

After a few minutes we were sat down at the beach (and not inside as initially agreed) where we were smoked on, but never mind that.

Once it was time to order, we asked for some vegetarian options- same as we were promised. Apparently there where no vegan burgers, no goat cheese salad- only thing left is a few tapas So my spouse ordered some potatoes, empanadas and manchango cheese with olive. The empanadas never got to us as I already finished my main dish and there was no point, so after much hesitation from the waiter, he allowed us to cancel this dish.

In parallel, we initially ordered some cocktails that took forever to arrive, deep into our meals. The staff did apologize once in a while but never once thought about offering us water or anything else to deal with the heat/wash the food

The service itself was horrible, chaotic, each request took forever and almost each time was probably forgotten by the waiter who we asked initially.

I can understand the hectic climate of a New Year’s Eve, but There is definitely no reason for understaffing the crew and offer such a sub-par hospitality. My spouse left with virtually nothing to eat This was supposed to be a special night for us, celebrating our honeymoon and the new year, but, sadly the experience was one of the lowest we’ve ever experienced and certainly the lowest...

Alright, listen up – this is hands down the best place to eat steak and watch the sunset at the most reasonable price you’ll find on the incredible island of Koh Phangan. It’s the only steak I’ve come back for, time and time again.

And then there’s Mikey, the heart and soul of the place. He’s the one who creates the entire experience for as, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. An incredible host who brings warmth, personality, and a truly welcoming vibe to every visit. Honestly, it’s the best service I’ve ever received in my life. Bottom line: there’s no way I’m skipping this place next time I’m in Koh Phangan. So run...

Best cocktails and Tapas

I went with a couple of friends for sunset and had the most pleasant surprise: The staff is nice, professional and welcoming. The barman is skilled and knowledgeable and can suggest a variety of cocktails with top quality spirits; the menu too is of a modern dining that can satisfy any palate from Tapas to Burgers with quality ingredients. The wine selection is so wide that no other place can match. The sunset was superb and that evening a live singer was performing making our evening the best in Koh Phangan!! Definitely a place...
