Chaweng Beach is undoubtedly one of the most stunning destinations in Koh Samui, Thailand. Renowned for its crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand, this public beach offers the perfect escape for both relaxation and adventure.
The water here is incredibly clean and inviting — ideal for swimming, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the serene ocean breeze. The beach is spacious enough to provide a peaceful atmosphere, even during the high season, making it a great spot for families, couples, or solo travelers looking to unwind in a tropical paradise.
One of the highlights of Chaweng Beach is the wide variety of activities available. For thrill-seekers, jet skiing is a must-try experience. You’ll often see colorful jet skis lined up along the shore, ready to take you on an exhilarating ride across the turquoise sea. Whether you’re new to water sports or an experienced rider, the staff on-site are helpful and attentive, ensuring safety and fun for all.
The beach is also lined with palm trees and nearby shops, cafés, and restaurants, giving you access to refreshments and local cuisine without straying too far from the sand. And since it’s a public beach, you can enjoy all of this without any entry fees.
Whether you’re here for the adventure or the tranquility, Chaweng Beach is a place that truly has something for everyone. Don’t miss the chance to experience this tropical gem — it’s the perfect spot to make unforgettable memories on your trip...
Read moreWOW, Chaweng Beach is an absolute paradise! The long stretch of soft, powdery white sand meets the crystal-clear turquoise waters, creating a perfect postcard scene. The beach is lively yet never feels overcrowded, with plenty of spots to relax under the shade of palm trees or soak up the sun. Swimming is wonderful here, as the water is warm and gentle, and the shallow shoreline makes it ideal for all ages. We had intentions of visiting other beaches during our month stay but we just couldn't resist the convenience of Chaweng Beach.
What makes Chaweng truly special is the balance between natural beauty and vibrant atmosphere — you can enjoy peaceful moments in the morning, then experience exciting beach bars, delicious restaurants, and charming shops just steps away. The sunsets are breathtaking, and it's located near Central Samui.
Whether you’re after relaxation, water sports, or a bit of nightlife, Chaweng Beach offers it all in one magical place. A must-visit when...
Read moreThis is a great beach in Thailand after some???? Are you blind? Did you see Ko Phangan Ko Tao closet or Railway beach in Krabi, Koh Phi Phi and many other?... this a strip beach that in some parts is nonexistent when high tide and like Lamai in some parts they cleaned and in many no. Water in Ko Samui is never Crystal clear even at Silver or Crystal beach. Chaweng is an overcrowded destination where big hotels look like syndicates at breakfast time with small and restaurants surrounded by stinky canalasition... all residual water ends in ocean in all Thailand and there is no modern residual water treatments anywhere that's why canals smells all over. The only decent beach is maybe Yellow Beach in all Ko Samui where about 6 hotels are sharing it and sand is not that great or water. Clearest water you find on Haad Rin in ko Phangan or all over ko Tao ... Ko Samui is reminding me of beach destinations in eastern...
