PYNE — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

After having been to this place a few times within the past week, once to buy a fresh coconut and the second time to have a few drinks and some food, I decided to return. I approached the outside bar as I had several times before to note to the staff that I wanted to use one of their bean bag beds and order something to drink. The lady managing the bar became immediately hostile and started barking at me that there was a minimum spend for the use of their facilities. Having been there just 2 days prior I was puzzled by the change in policy, so when I asked for clarification the lady became enraged and was even more unpleasant, waving me away and yelling "up to you!" I was completely stunned. I could not believe that someone would talk to a customer in such a rude and disgusting manner. This middle aged bartender should not be in customer service with that kind of attitude. I didn't care one bit about the minimum spend, in fact I planned on staying there all day and probably would've spent more than the minimum, as I did the previous time. I also would've continued to come almost on a daily basis for the next two weeks while I'm on the island. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere, where you will be treated with respect and where there's more quality in the food and drinks as they were mediocre at best as echoed by...

Don’t eat here!! We ordered a BLT and a Caesar Salad which took over an hour to arrive. We went to ask where the food was after around an hour and were given a BLT with chips that we saw sat on a table for god knows how long. The chips were completely cold and the french baguette for the sandwich was rock solid. The Caesar Salad came out 15 minutes later and was absolutely drowned in garlic mayo rather than Caesar dressing. The croutons were sodden and chewy thanks to the amount of sauce. Cocktails taste good but that’s because they’re just juice. I just drank three cocktails and I don’t even feel them (not an exaggeration). After the first one I asked them to make it harder, than again after the 2nd one. These people can’t get it right.
