Dining Nirvana! This place transponds you immediately as you walk through its door from a bustling winding road between Chaweng and Lamai into a serene paradise where you are left in awe... The patio seating overlooking the sea, the sunset (should you get there in time) and the coast line of the beautiful city or koh Samui just hints towards what you are about to witness as you dine here. The service, hospitality and warmth of those serving you is felt as they are attentive and yet also allow you the privacy of the company you may have. There is no rushing, allowing you to soak in the surroundings as you go about your order. It's a place where you would want to go with someone who warms your heart, as you would find even the silent clink of your glasses speak a thousand words. :) We loved their wine list so much that we ended up ordering two bottles of Rosé which was perfect for the setting that was presented. Granted we did not go past their appetizers, which basically were a portion of Smoked Salmon Bruschetta which was so beautifully balanced with the cream cheese, capers and shallots assembled over perfectly toasted bread followed by Crab cakes which were not only gorgeously presented, but the taste and size of each Crab cake ensured that you were being served from a kitchen which was managed by a true Chef. The sweetness of the crab meat oozed out with every bite and it wasn't any dainty portion that many high end restaurants would be accused of serving up. With my experience, I can only go to say that if the starters gave such an explosion of flavours, I can't wait to get back there for my next run through their menu! In the end, all I can say is that if you are looking for a place which serves your taste buds as well as your soul, don't miss out on this beautiful spot for a meal or even a drink. I promise you shall leave with a memory. I honestly had one of the best, if not best, evenings of my life. (Of course.... the company that you dine with also matters..... And mine was amazing!) Thank you to all there at Dr Frog for being part of creating this for me! Look forward to visiting again :)

I have been visiting Koh Samui for many years and Dr. Frogs is a superb establishment that I was lucky enough to find on my very first trip. On this occasion I decided to stay at their adjoined hotel, 'Boujis', which was equally enjoyable - I have slept way better than I do at home! In the bar/restaurant your hosts Jonny, head chef Reuben, and their entire team will make you feel uniquely welcome. I recommend cocktails (or a beer) at the bar before your meal, then you will be seated with a breathtaking view overlooking Chaweng Bay. The menu will entice you with a selection of mouthwatering cuisine, prepared using the best quality ingredients - whether it be Thai or Western food that takes your fancy. We tried both styles of dish and the plates went back to the kitchen cleared - it really was superb. The wine list is extensive and very reasonably priced for Thailand... We had a bottle of the Riesling, and the Pinot Grigio. Following dinner there is a selection of homemade desserts, the chocolate fondant is probably the best I have ever had. After dinner you are free to enjoy the evening alongside the stunning view, either at your table or at the bar. When you are done, if you are not staying in 'Boujis' then the maitre d' will be happy to arrange transport for you. It is a ten-minute ride to either Chaweng or Lamai. 10/10 and I most definitely will be back early next year. THANK YOU to ALL... I'm sad to be leaving today.

My WORST restaurant experience among all the countries I’ve traveled to. We arrived at 12:00. Our roast dishes were PRE-ORDERED since we’re a party of 8. Appetizers were served 2 hours before the main course. After the appetizers were served, they asked what our preorder was and apparently they did not take note of them. Staff had no updates from 12:00-3:00. Even the serving of Prosecco took long. The main course arrived at 3:00. That’s 3 hours after we arrived. People with white skin got served before us even if we arrived before them. Same dishes were served to them… so How did that happen? The roast beef and pavlova were excellent. The other dishes were forgettable. My siblings gave feedback but the owner seemed apathetic to the feedback. The next service was supposed to start at 3 but we could not leave cause the bill took FOREVER too. They were asking us to leave our table but they were the ones who did not give the bill. Could be a great a restaurant if they changed the service in the kitchen and dining area… Sad… They should charge 50% less for the terrible service and disorganized kitchen. Please treat your customers with respect because in hospitality, you are nothing without customers.

Recently my social media has been full of ads from Dr.Frogs and having not been there for a very long time I decided to try it out. Having tried pretty much all of the top recommended English Breakfasts around Samui, I thought that would be a good comparison. While the restaurant is lovely, with a very nice view overlooking Chaweng and the service is friendly and efficient, I honestly felt ripped off by the breakfast. 491baht for an English breakfast that's smaller and less enjoyable than other places on Samui that cost nearly half as much. I understand there's a premium to be paid for the view, but in no way is this breakfast worth that amount of money. For the breakfast itself, it's nice enough, but nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd, in fact the thing that does make it stand out is smaller bread and less tomatoes and hashbrowns than some other places offer. While I've tried other food in the past, it was a long time ago before Covid, I remember the food was decent, but nothing special. End of the day I wouldn't recommend against going here, but I would 100% recommend not going for the English breakfast.

A delightful little find that we came upon during our drive around Koh Samui. It’s on a cliff overlooking the sea, so the view is spectacular. And we were lucky enough to arrive when there weren’t many people, so we got the best table. I would recommend the grilled snapper as it was probably one of the best fish we’ve had ever! A total surprise for us as we love our seafood and have eaten at some of the best seafood restaurants in the world. But here we are in restaurant that doesn’t even rate super high, and their fish was perfect. We also ordered a couple of pasta dishes that were okay. Stick with the normal cocktails as they were pretty good, but when I went for a dry martini, their vermouth was obviously off. They changed it as soon as I told them, so no complaint there. I had their Minty Mojito, which was a little sweet but still lovely. Overall, I highly recommend the place, especially as their prices were extremely reasonable when compared with similar places.

After seeing a recommend for a Sunday roast we had to try Dr. Frogs. Wow, I absolutely love this place. The views are stunning. The restaurant clean, very comfortable seats (something hard to come by in samui) The staff are super friendly, it was pretty busy when we arrived. We had our food order in and two cold Chang’s within 10 minutes. We both went for the mixed meat roast. It was incredible. The pork fell apart, the beef was so juicy and tender nice and pink, and the lamb was the same with all the trimmings, this made for a delicious roast. We felt like it was Christmas Day roast. It was that good. You even get a pig in blanket! (A posh version) We’re going back this week to sample more of their menu! If you love a Sunday roast, this really is beautiful. You won’t be disappointed. We’ve been to three other places for roasts on Samui. Dr frogs is number one for us! Reservations a must, to avoid disappointment. Roasts are served every two weeks.
