An extremely unpleasant experience at this restaurant from start to finish. On arrival the owner was very unwelcoming and quite intimidating. The food was appalling, the worst Thai food Iâve ever eaten. The staff were not attentive whatsoever, I had to walk around the whole restaurant to find a staff member in the kitchen to ask for the bill. Once paid, the staff member did not even bother to bring our change back from the bill, just automatically assuming it was going to be tipped. I usually tip, but on principle due to how out outrageous decision that was made for me, I again had to hunt down a staff member and ask for my change back! One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant, there was not one positive to comment on. To top this whole experience off, after still wanting to thank them when walking out the owner ignored us. Avoid this place...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at the French restaurant Pado in Lamai, and was very satisfied.
The food was exceptional, with a focus on the quality of the meat. I had the beef fillet, which was tender and tasty, and my friend had the couscous, which was rich and tasty.
The homemade desserts were delicious, with a variety of options to choose from.
The chef, Laurent, is a very nice and friendly person. It was a pleasure talking to him and learning about his passion for French cuisine.
Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at Le Bistrot restaurant. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for high quality French...

If you're in Lamai beach You should go and try the food...
