Manga Sushi Thai food and Breakfast — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

We came here as a group of 10 and unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the high rating this place currently has. Some of the dishes were fine, but overall the food does not justify the high prices.

Service was also disappointing. Three of our main dishes took more than 45 minutes to arrive, long after the rest of the table had already finished eating. Starters like salads were oddly served at the very end of the meal. The owner was present in the restaurant but did not acknowledge the long delay or offer any kind of compensation. Even a simple update about the waiting time would have been appreciated.

On top of that, when it came time to pay, the staff couldn’t handle splitting the bill between cash and credit card, insisting it had to be either one or the other — which was very inconvenient for a large group.

It seemed like the kitchen couldn’t handle a bigger party, perhaps because there was only one chef. The sushi and salads also felt rather average and uninspired.

With some improvements, this restaurant could become much better, but as it stands now, it’s far from deserving the rating it...

Absolutely the best sushi / Thai restaurant in Samui! The decor of the restaurant is fun and lively and the service is EXCELLENT. The quality of every dish is amazing! The meatball soup and Pad Thai were delicious ….. and the quality of the sushi and other Japanese dishes rival those in Japan itself. We had Bento Box #4 —- delicious eel rolls, various nagiri, salmon on rice and a salad — along with salmon nagiri, extraordinary miso soup and other dishes. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. We were thrilled with our dinner at Manga and recommend them...
