Mer Fresh & Full Cafe and Restaurant SAMUI — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

We walked passed Mer initially on our way to another cafe that was closed. I loved the curb appeal and the idea of AC and great lighting, so we returned to this hidden gem. I’m so glad we did!

Mer Fresh and Full has a big menu and you might even say they are in the business of filling up not only bellies but hearts. I even left with an unexpected Christmas gift. I hear Mer means sea in French. Maybe the Mer is also short for Merry because the owner brings the sunshine on a rainy day.

If you get a chance to meet the owner you will see how much love she puts into the place. And you must be confident when you put your card on your coconut pie. I was not disappointed. So if you miss Paris and are in Thailand you don’t miss the opportunity to experience Mer.

My husband doesn’t eat meat or chicken often, but he tried her homemade Khao Soi and thought it was better than what he got in Chiang Mai.

Lastly, the croissants are buttery and our favorite drink was the chocolate minty one.

The high ceilings create an airy, spacious vibe, while every corner of the café is spotless, reflecting their dedication to cleanliness.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall pleasant experience. And the food? Simply divine! Both the meals and the pastries are of exceptional quality—each bite is a little piece of heaven.

Even the restroom deserves a special mention—it’s impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, which is always a bonus.

The loveliest cafe we have been to in Thailand!

We wandered into this cafe looking for a bite to eat and a coffee. We didn’t expect to have such an amazing experience!

The pastries are cooked fresh and are so tasty, we also had a cooker breakfast and smoothie bowl which was to die for!

I queried if it would be possible to make my dad a birthday cake as the cakes they had on display looked incredible and the owner and staff members went out of their way to do so, making a fresh blueberry cheesecake decorated beautifully.

We ended up returning with my wider family so we could show our support to such a lovely, tasty and friendly cafe.
