Firstly, apologies for adding this so late, it had completely slipped my mind !|We stayed here for 8 nights ( May 2nd - May 10th ). Arriving from the mainland by boat it was a 30 minute taxi ride to get here which cost about £15. From the main road is a small lane which goes down to Pico which the car was able to go down. At the bottom of the lane are the bungalows and then reception followed by the restaurant / bar that overlooks the beach. There is a small pool next to reception and two of the bungalows overlook the pool and beach. We were given room 14 which was the next closest bungalow to the beach taking all of 1 minute to get on the sand !|There are plenty of sun beds with a large tree to shelter under when it gets too hot.|The room was good and well maintained and had fantastic air conditioning. Fresh towels and beach towels everyday.|We had breakfast included in our deal but quite often ate lunch here too as the food was very good. Evening meals were available but we generally ate in Fishermans Wharf which is about a 20 minute walk along the main road.|A lot of people seem to use the restaurant at lunchtimes from other hotels as the food is cheap and good and the view is great.|Pico is a small family run place. They are really friendly and the service is fabulous.|At the end of our stay the owner drove us to the airport which is about 15-20 minutes away. |Whether you stay here for one night or a week or more you will not...

Unprofessional Management and Poor Experience

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days and was extremely disappointed. Upon check-in, I was informed about a power outage scheduled from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, which also affected the hot water heater.

This was not communicated to me in advance, despite my contact with the hotel via Booking.com days and weeks prior, as well as a WhatsApp message just one day before my arrival.

The hotel was aware of this outage two days in advance but chose not to inform me, leaving me with no opportunity to modify my reservation.

To make matters worse, the water was unavailable for over 2 hours after the power was restored, which disrupted my plans and forced me to cancel dinner and other activities.

When I checked out, I didn’t voice my complaints at that moment, but later reached out to the hotel staff via WhatsApp to express my frustration and request compensation due to the unbearable conditions, especially with temperatures around 36°C.

Their response was shockingly dismissive, showing a complete lack of empathy. They suggested that I should have raised my concerns at checkout, as if I should be responsible for their oversight.

This experience has left me feeling disrespected and frustrated. I paid full price for my stay and expected better service.

I sincerely hope that future guests take this into account before booking. Avoid this hotel if you value professionalism and...

My fiancé and I stayed here for 3 nights and we had the most amazing time. Pico really is a hidden gem. The staff cannot do enough for you, they’re so friendly, funny warm and welcoming. We were picked up from the airport the first day and driven to the hotel. We were super early and couldn’t check in until after 11, however we had a great time chilling on the beach and the hotel stored our luggage. We were able to rent mopeds directly from the hotel at just 300baht for 2 days, this was a fantastic way to explore the island. We visited the overlapping stone and nu muang waterfalls as well as the temples and laughing Buddha statues we did a full loop of the Island.|The reviews don’t lie when they talk about how incredible the food is here. Yummy Thai food and delicious cocktails. We had the pangan curry and masaman we also loved the shrimp toast! You walk right out onto bophut beach which is lovely and secluded. Super tranquil. We loved watching the sunrise with our coffees. Fisherman’s village is a short 15 minute walk away and you can go up along the beach if you want or out the main road. The staff recommended we see the fire shows at coco tams, which we did and they were amazing. Room was spotless, comfortable and well air conditioned. We did the National marine tour and all was arranged via the hotel for us. Overall I can’t speak highly enough of pico. Fantastic value for money and such an enjoyable...

Stayed here with my wife and two boys last month and loved it. After deciding on Koh Samui we wanted a beach that wasn’t so touristy and my wife found Pico Samui. We were fortunate enough to book the two rooms that face the ocean which was a nice bonus. The place is very laid back, family friendly. Rooms are simple but clean and functional. On vacation we generally either go all out 5 star or simple 3 star. I’d describe the rooms as 3 star+. The bar/restaurant are is right on the beach so sitting eating breakfast every morning was a real highlight. We were there during the quiet season so the bar closed quite early but the staff were happy for us to order a few drinks and then clear up after ourselves and switch off the lights before heading off to bed. The beach is beautiful and very quite however if you walk out into the sea a few metres the sand ends and then becomes mud. If you’re squeamish about that type of thing you may find it a bit uncomfortable. We hired scooters from the hotel for a couple of hundred baht per day to go exploring the island which I can highly recommend. If you live in the centre of Bangkok like we do it’s a great destination for a long weekend break. We used the airport train which took us 45 mins from leaving the apartment to arriving. The flight was only 50mins and then a 20min taxi ride.

Stayed for 4 nights here and loved it every second!! A small tiny cottage that feels warmth and private. Seems just reopen and some is under development but doesn’t impact your holiday and comfort at all. Caretakers are the best, lovely, warm and trying to be accommodating as much as possible. They have everything you need with reasonable price start from tour, ferry, scooter and taxi. Feels like you have your own private pool and beach. Easy to go everywhere like fisherman village where all the bars& entertainments are there by beach or road. Wifi is best and suitable for digital nomads. Resident’s dog is so cute and lovely. Foods in the restaurant is good but something that can be improve as well. Recommended to stay here!
