So i am really not sure where to start with this review…. Having spent a few weeks travelling Thailand I thought it would be a good idea to end it with a seven night stay here at Bo Phut resort and spa… this was my last stop on my travels and i was unsure what to expect after such a life changing and memorable time prior to coming to Koh Samui…. And i tell you this resort far exceeded my expectations and my concerns. ||This resort is classed as 5 star but i can assure you it is much more than 5 star and the staff that work there make it so. ||The food here is amazing. They have a great menu all day in the pool restaurant and slso they have a thai restaurant that opens every other day and wow!!! The food is somewhat else…, if only we could get food like this in the uk. If you are worried about eating Thai food then seriously this is the place to start. Breakfast is great and a good selection with the best egg station I have ever seen.||From checking in to checking out we were treated like royalty. The staff are so lovely (as are most people in Thailand) and attentive beyond belief. You literally don’t have to do a thing or lift a finger. I need to give a special mention to Natty and Nok who were the best hotel staff i have ever met and made our stay so memorable||The villa we stayed in was 105 and we stayed for seven nights from march 11th - 18th 2025. The villa was unbelievable it was so big and so clean and our cleaning lady was the best on the planet who taught us some thai phrases and we laughed with her so much. Our villa was close to the pool which was wonderful and warm and also had easy access to the beach. ||I honestly can not praise this hotel enough and i know its in the top of top hotels in Thailand but i personally think it has to certainly be the best hotel in koi samui and hopefully one of the top 5 in the country. There is a lovely spa here which is absolutely magical and well worth a visit. ||Also nothing is problem for them from organising trips to printing you boarding pass they are exceptional people. ||The hotel is a short walk to Fishermans Village which is to the left as you leave the hotel and there are lots of local restaurants and bars as you turn right. ||On check out i was literally in tears as i was so overwhelmed. I really appreciated when all the hotel staff lined up to wave goodbye. ||I cannot put into words how they made me feel. The only thing I would recommend every traveler to do is respect and embrace the culture and learn a few thai words and phrases as they really respect people who make an effort wether you are good or not it will make a huge difference to staying in Thailand in general. ||I want to say thank you to all the staff from the kitchens, pool staff, waiters, housekeeping, security, reception. You absolutely blew me away on what has been a life...
Read moreYou can see the resort is good - the multitude of five-star reviews are testament to that. So rather than repeat the obvious, here’s my take: five stars, five opinions.||The Setting||The resort’s in a sweet spot - peaceful and tucked away, but close to everything you might want to dip into. It’s about 10 minutes’ walk along the beach to Fisherman’s Wharf, with plenty of restaurants and bars en route. (Our pick: The Thai Tapas - easily one of the best meals we had locally.) You’re 20 minutes from the airport and also near two great beaches: Ban Tai (15 mins away), where Cape Away Beach Bar offers free loungers and decent food, and Choeng Mon (also 15 mins), where Mira Serene has free loungers and Carnival Beach Village is good for lunch. The resort will take you to both - and pick you up - in their air-conditioned taxi van. Their own beach is clean, quiet, and very easy to stay put on.||The Vibe||Peaceful is the word. No loud music, no fighting for sunbeds, no screeching children. There’s a kind of grown-up calm that’s hard to fake. There were always loungers available, always umbrellas for shade. The whole place feels like a boutique escape: polished but never pretentious. The service reflects that too - it’s confident, welcoming, and low-key in the best way.||The Staff||Some of the best we’ve encountered anywhere. They genuinely couldn’t do enough for you - professional but personable, always ready with a smile. A special thanks to Mr Aek, who got the British sense of humour completely, and Oakie and Mai poolside, who had an uncanny ability to appear with just what you needed - umbrella repositioned, towel sorted, sunbed arranged. The kind of service that happens without fuss but leaves an impression.||The Room||A perfect retreat after a day in the sun. Spacious, calm and cool - thanks to powerful air-con - and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in. The bathroom was spotless, with a powerful shower and a nightly turn-down service that made everything feel that bit more relaxed. It was well-appointed, well-maintained, and very quiet. Exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually rest on holiday.||The Food||Breakfast and lunch were laid-back and good quality - plenty of variety, fresh ingredients, and never rushed. For a bit of variety at lunchtime, we recommend walking down the beach to Fisherman’s Wharf and trying La Cantina, where you can eat overlooking the sand and sea. Or head out of the resort, turn right, and a few doors down you’ll find Adlib Café & Vinyl - gorgeous milkshakes, good food, and an easy, chilled vibe.||In summary||Nothing showy. Nothing overdone. Just a really well-run, peaceful place that does everything it should. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Unless of course we’re all trying to keep it a bit...
Read moreWe stayed here for 4 nights and had an excellent stay. From the minute we arrived in Koh Samui we were made to feel welcomed by the hotel. They picked us up from the airport in a hotel mini van which had plenty of room and took us direct to the hotel which took about 20 mins. On arrival we were greeted warmly by staff who talked us through the necessary paperwork and provided us with a refreshment. We were then shown to our room and provided a description of all room amenities. The room itself was very beautiful and well decorated. Everything worked and the TV even had Netflix, prime etc so you have the ability to sign into your apps if you want. Useful when traveling with kids and might want some chill time. If I had one small gripe it would be that the pillows were very soft, but I never asked the staff for anything else so I am unclear if they have alternative pillows. The staff are very helpful and helped to sort several taxis out for us including a round the island tour taxi which was very enjoyable. It was more convenient as we didn't have to worry about money and it was all added to our overall bill. The restaurant is lovely and right at the pool / beach. Food is plentiful and again nicely presented and tastes delicious. The pool is lovely and relaxing with towels provided and we always found a bed to rest on. The hotel is right on the beach and is easily accessible to town for further restaurants, bars and shops. We had an excellent stay and didn't want to leave. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for couples and families and can't wait to return in the future. The staff are amazing and friendly and really make the resort...
