OLIVIO ITALIAN MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

TLDR: a MUST visit in Samui, couldn’t rrate the food highly enough! Don’t come too close to 8pm

Absolutely amazing food, lovely service, very hospitable with my cocktail pickiness ahaha

Food we ordered:

Starter: Crab & Mango Avacado thing (?) gorgeous taste, very refreshing, very generous with the crabs

Mains: Seafood Platter amazing selection of high quality, fresh seafood cooked to perfection, no notes Crab & Shellfish Ravioli Pasta cooked perfectly, lobster sauce so flavourful, the filling was delicious, and generous prawn and crab garnishes, once again unbelievably fresh and tasty Seafood Ravioli beautifully presented and very tasted, generous amounts of fresh seafood once again, slightly under salted but easily fixed

Sides: Cheesy Truffle Fries From my chef father: “the best truffle fries i have ever tasted”, enough said

Desserts: Creme Brulee delicious, perfectly cooked, lovely vanilla flavour, perfect way to end the meal

The only downside was the gasoline like smell during a few minutes of dinner when they were cleaning the pool, it was faint but still off putting when eating, I’d avoid coming at or close to 8pm, maybe 20 past...

During my stay at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort & Villas (an amazing hotel with great value in this area—comfortable rooms and excellent service! ✨), I enjoyed having breakfast here every day with a stunning, endless ocean view. It was the perfect way to start my day. 🥰🥰🥰

While in Koh Samui, I visited several beach restaurants and bars, and this one became my favorite spot for writing. 😊

I often found myself sitting here for the entire morning or afternoon, gazing at the infinite sea, feeling completely at peace. It’s a truly healing place—ideal for moments of quiet reflection or creativity. Sometimes I’d write, sometimes I’d read, all while soaking in the joy of inner calm. 🧘🏻‍♀️

Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, solitary retreat.🩵🩵🩵

PS: I haven’t tried their main dishes yet, but the atmosphere alone makes it worth ordering a drink and simply enjoying the pure energy...

Great place! Located restaurant at the hotel, on the shoreline with a beautiful view of the island. The area is well maintained, there is a smoking area, the possibility to sit outdoors or indoors with air conditioning. The food is very tasty, the choice of menu is small, the price for such a place is affordable. The staff speaks good English, works quickly, memorizes and brings all orders at once. I booked a table for my birthday, they gave me a separate closed room, beautifully served the room, prepared a gift from the institution, they tried very hard, left a pleasant impression of the visit. I was very satisfied with everything, definitely recommend this...
