Chomchan by Lecker Schmecker — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

It is clearly the best restaurant in the area. We have tried some of the surrounding restaurants as well, but the food here was far superior. Every dish we ordered was exceptional, which led to multiple visits during our stay, as we eagerly looked forward to dining at this very place. In fact, it even inspired me to write my first restaurant review on Google.

The owner and staff are friendly, humorous, and attentive, and the menu selection is extensive, ranging from seafood and vegetarian options to desserts. You will truly be in food heaven here. Our favorites included the Pad Thai with chicken/tofu, the Spicy Glass Noodle Salad with pork, and the grilled beef with spicy sauce.

If you're not fond of local cuisine, don’t worry—they also offer plenty of Western options. While we didn’t try them, we’re confident they are just as delicious as the Thai dishes. And be sure to leave a little room in your belly for a sweet surprise at the end...

If I could give the service a 10/5, I would. Sincerely the nicest people ever. I asked if they would have a mosquito spray for me to use and everyone went searching for one. One lovely lady even helped me apply it on my body and she rubbed it in. So so sweet and kind! The Food: We got a delicious pizza margarita and the banana pancakes with honey. The banana pancakes definitely were real pancakes and not just cake, loved them. They told me they made a mistake in preparing my pancakes (there was a chocolate option which they did on accident), I told them it was fine and that I would take them no worries. So delicious! And then they brought out the pancakes I ordered (without chocolate) and said they are sorry. It was absolutely not necessary, but wow. Heartfelt and kind service!

I recently visited Lecker Shmecker, a charming Thai restaurant on Koh Samui island, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The Tom Yum soup was bursting with flavors, perfectly balanced with a hint of spice and tanginess. The Seafood Fried Rice was a delightful medley of fresh ingredients that left me craving for more.

What impressed me the most was the attentive and friendly staff. They made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. The owner personally checked on each table, adding a personal touch to our dining experience.
