Sea Grille Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

A special end of holiday meal a disaster. The only great thing was the transfer fro. Our hotel to restaurant. My son had the smoked duck breast for appetizer which was lovely. I had lobster bisque which was ok but like a mud pit with toast floating on it with lumps of garlic on. We both had steak for main. We asked for medium but it was very rare when it arrived. We sent it back. They arrived back in 5 minutes. They were thevsa.e steaks but had been microwaved absolutely appalled by the standard. They were hot and steamed on top but still rare in the middle with blood oozing out. We asked for manager but he was unavailable. The supervisor came and we ordered alternative dishes. We had a caprese pizza which was delicious and a mushroom risotto the risotto was tasteless, very under cooked and had no seasoning so was disgusting. By this time everyone had left the staff were setting g up for breakfast and blowing the tea lights out which made us feel like we had to leave. All in all a very expensive and disappointing evening altogether. I am very annoyed at the prices paid a d the level of cooking at this upper end hotel. I have had better in a shack. I would appreciate so.e feedback bearing in mind manager never appeared. We were also told there was a dress code but lost people were in shorts and shirts!! It was also advertised as a jazz night not there was mo jazz just 2 singers. Service was also very very slow and we waited ages...

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID If I could of given this place minus stars I would have!! I believe all the five star reviews are fake. Food arrived late and cold. To matters even worse... My partner was sick all night and when when returning to the restaurant to inform them I was treated like they already have my money!! I was made to wait for a manager who after digging was not even at work. I then began to kick up a fuss getting fueled with the idea of my girlfriend have had a terrible night without wanting getting too graphic. .......they say they have a procedure for dealing with food poisoning. This involves accusingly asking if have seen a doctor. There is no way anyone going through the process of food poisoning can leave the bed or toilet period. After kicking up a fuss I was greeted by a lovely Russian couple who had had the same experience the day before but had put it down to something else and fortunately there experience was not as bad as my partners.(eating the salmon the previous day) In short this establishment is nicely dressed up but is an overexpensive and incapable of delivering a safe or edible plate of food!!! Avoid like the plague unless you enjoy painting your hotel toilet!!! Terrible everything. Over 30 hours later she is still ill... Not...

THE 20% DISCOUNT VOUCHER SCAM!

We came to this restaurant because we received a 20% discount voucher upon check-in at the hotel.

We ordered a pizza, a burger, and two cocktails. Let’s start with the part that wasn’t a complete disaster: the cocktails. They were very expensive, but at least drinkable.

Now for the downsides: The connection between the pictures on the menu and the actual dishes is purely coincidental. The pizza tasted like gasoline, and the burger seemed like it was made by a 4-year-old child – simply inedible.

And to finish it all off – the bill. On top of the already outrageous menu prices, they added another 17%!!! That’s 10% service charge + 7% tax, even though we specifically asked and were told service was already included.

So thank you, dear hotel, for giving us a “20% discount voucher” and then canceling it out with an extra 17% charge on the bill.

Honestly, even without the price factor, this is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. But when you add the price to the equation, this easily becomes the absolute worst place you could set foot in on...
