Koh Co Beach — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Beautiful restaurant. Been there a few times. That's why I put 4/5 if not been there before Mr mark would get a 1/5 Good food. Sea view. But on my last visit was badly welcomed by a new manager. Mr Mark. Mr mark refused to let us the front beach table ( set up for 4 poeple ) restaurant empty. Low season . We are 2 persons. So he stuck us near a table of 8 nousy poeples. Horrible dinner. Noisy. Had a argue with this noisy table. As a restaurant.owner myself I do not understand this attitude. Table stayed empty all evening. Mr mark, never came back. Not check our food. Not there to say good bye..useless manager Just on arrival to ruin your evening. We'll done Mr Mark.. we spend 4000 bahts food. seems not enough to get a nice table. Food is amazing Dessert are not. Profiteroles without ice cream. Cream brulee with vanilla Madagascar. But...

Very nice restaurant at the beach. We shared a couple of dishes, like the Tuna Tataki, Seared Salmon Sashimi, Rainbow Fish Salad, Salmon in Red Curry, and the Calamari. All were great, especially when we chose to go more full-on on the spice level - Thai spicy.

The wines have a bit of a sweet note to them (even the brut Prosecco) but this actually works well with spicy food.

The dishes were delicious and the service was super friendly. My pet peeve would be that the bottle of water we ordered was super small (500ml?) - so you have to order multiple. Next to this the citrus fruit shake was not super lime-like. It tasted more like bitter pomelo and orange juice. All in all it’s fine. If you like to have a bit of a Christmas-like drink, try...

Beware of their policy that you can’t use beach chairs if you don’t order food, drinks don’t count.

If you don’t eat you have to pay 1000 thb per person to use their beach chairs. So if you are not hungry or want just couple drinks you can’t use sun beds unless you pay. When we arrived we weren’t hungry but we had to order food. There are a lot of great restaurants/hotels on this island which do not have that policy in place, so keep that in mind.

After reading the reviews we decided to stop by and spend some time at the beach at this restaurant. First of all, the prices are pretty high, the beach itself is not the best quality for swimming. Although the view from the restaurant is nice. I ate watermelon a salad, which was ok but...
