STACKed — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Three of us went here last night, I will say by default. We intended to go to the Hungry Wolf down the road, sadly it closes on Wednesday nights, please ready review on this excellent restaurant. Normally I would not go to a hotel restaurant such as Stacked, I hate the self promotion, such as the best burger in town, the funkiest restaurant and such. But we had all wanted a burger. The restaurant was fairly quiet, so the funk had decided to take a night off. As expected prices were higher than elsewhere, but thankfully we had a 10% discount card. The burger was beautifully presented, made with a blend of beer, with homemade bun and the usual salad dressing. So was it the best burger in town, oh dear, sadly not. This is just an average burger, the same as I can get in any bar or pub back at home, it doesn't have the wow factor that elevates it above the average. The fore mentioned Hungry Wolf scores a 4.7 on Google, well deserved , while Stacked Burgers get a 4.2, perhaps they should rewrite the sign to the second best burger in town, well, untill next year at least, when I'll comeback and try...

BEST BURGER IN THE ISLAND - HANDS DOWN

Fantastic experience at Stacked!! The place looks gorgeous, the service is top notch, the food is amazing, and the overall energy invites for celebrations, parties or other gatherings with friends.

I had the chef’s recommendation “Cowboy” burger - medium. The burger is amazing from the first bite to the last. Seasoning of the steak was just perfect, and good quality of meat. The buns looked homemade. The dressing was perfectly suiting this particular burger.

The crazy thing is that all the burgers presented on the menu look good and make you want to come back and try them all, while dealing with the hesitation of going for the same one to live that same experience again. It’s just so worth it!!

The ONLY reason I didn’t put 7 stars, was because I thought the French fries on the side were disappointing and didn’t look homemade or not matching the level of freshness of the burger at least. Saw many advertisements on my way to hotel so decided to give it a try. In the advertisements they say that they take the burgers seriously. I love good burgers and have to say that I cannot give support to that idea. You're supposed to get the taste experience from other fillings (stacked burgers = lots of fillings). I ordered the chef's favorite, Hot Mama which was supposed to have medium patty, jalapeños and tasty sauce. To my disappointment the buns were dry, patty was fully cooked and the taste of jalapeños and the sauce didn't really satisfy my tastebuds. My wife ordered another burger and had the same experience. At this price I would expect the waiter to ask how does the food taste but that did not happen. The french fries were good though.

All in all a big disappointment and really expensive restaurant compared to the quality. I'm sorry to say that they really don't seem to take the burgers seriously. It has to be noted though that we just might have had bad luck and the chef was just a trainee or something. This experience comes from...
