Today is my second time in this restaurant with 3 friends. We walk in and many tables are reserved. The waiter took I and friends to outdoor table. During dinner there is bird's poop falling onto my head and after clean up the restaurant manager happen to walk pass by my teble and I ask him to stop and tell him the story. I gave him a feedback to have someting to protect this happen to customer again maybe in the future because I aware that he cannot do much this time. His response to me and my friends is very disappointed. He said the bird is wild animal that cannot control and we have the area with the roof and open air for a good atmosphere not even sorry for unexpected situation or this bad experience. Even though I told him that I understand that cannot control bird and I understand that is unexpected and hope he will bring this to owner to figure out the solution to protect customer from bird's poop because the net they have cannot protect anything. He says again "the bird is wild animal that cannot control and we have the area with the roof and open air for a good atmosphere".The way he talk to us quite arrogant. I thank him for his explanation just because I want to make this conversation end then he ask me are you happy now? That's question!!Unbelievable!! My answer is "honestly I'm not happy with your explanation eventhough I tried to tell that for improvement and think about customer more. I am very disappointed with the manager of Mama Dolores the way he handle my feedback. It shown that he is not capable of handling feedback as restaurant manager. I and my friends would feel better if he just say he feel sorry for unexpected situation that happen to me and will bring this feedback to owner for consideration and also ask if I am ok or need any help. That would be good enough. I did not expect special treat but only nice maner, professional and service mind. I and friends would never want to go back to Mama Dolores again because of restaurant manger. We believe there are a plenty of nice service nice restaurant in...
Read moreThis is an update based on my visit of Sunday May 15. The menu for sets have changed, the previous have disappeared unfortunately. We ordered Moroccan fish, humus plate and greek salad. Were served Greek salad and humus first. The greek salad is a real joke and a real disappointment. Almost no onions, small pieces of very low quality tomatoes, zero Kalamata olives yes not even one. One of the worst Greek salads i have seen in more than 60 years. I called the server to let her know, she took the plate and go to her manager, a lady sitting on table in front of us. She never came to ask what happened, apparently she doesn't care much. 10 minutes later, they came back with exactly same thing, all what they did is cutting 2 olive pieces in very small pieces . Literally the most cheap way to. Address a customer concern. After almost 1 hour there, we asked about the Moroccan fish xe asked for. They surprised us by telling us they forget to prepare it. We asked to cancel the Moroccan fish tajine. I was extremely disappointed by the quality of food, a nonchalant and unprofessional service. You can't charge high price for a salad and deliver low quality products, with the essential ingredients missing. It doesn't give good impression. Below is a previous visit review to same restaurant. Came to next door restaurant for brunch but was full. Left and just on other side of the street, i saw Mama Dolores. Decided to go see what they offer. From beginning, I liked the environment, the area where they prepare food particularly pizza, bread etc... I am Mediterranean and it's not very easy to find diversified Mediterranean food. Was quite surprised, with Moroccan food in the menu, which is rare in Bangkok, even Moroccan cuisine is one of the best you can find. We loved the experience and I will definitely go back again to try other food...
Read moreThis wasn’t our first time here. Previously, we had a great time but this time around our experience had a lot left to be desired.
The staff would walk past us and say “one moment “ but the moment would never come nor the staff.
3 staff (2 ladies and 1 gent) stood by the peroni beer stand and did see our hands raised but they continued talking to each other , the cashier had to come and attend us.
As one of us was having a birthday , the venue did give us a nice lava cake with vanilla ice cream as a complimentary dessert to celebrate.. which was highly appreciated, however the service lacked in getting the experience right , the dessert came in with the candle unlit (pic attached of unlit candle) and no plates and spoons while the ice cream melted. It took us 3-4 tries to get the staff attention and close to 5 mins to get it going.
Asking for a tax invoice took close to 15-20 mins and when one of us went to ask the cashier , her response was that she was clearing (counting) the cash sales. Wouldn’t it better to get the tax invoice first and then count the cash sales ?
On our previous visits the manager (who has moved to Phuket apparently) would always come and check on each table but without him around , it’s not a wonder the service lacked.
Service plays an important role and depending on how welcome customers feel, dictates how customers perceive the food and atmosphere . There is a definite and notable decrease compared to our...
