Azzurro by Chef Thanom MBK — Restaurant in Wang Mai Subdistrict

I had never heard of this before it was called the Piadina and it reminded me of a Mexican quesadilla. This was made with Parma ham, mozzarella in a thin crispy wafer like bread kinda like a tortilla. 🙌🏽💙🩵

It was the perfect thing I wanted and it was so good and there’s a light salad with it. It just hit the spot. I really will come back here to try more dishes for sure!

Update: so quite a few of us approximately only about 30 people of us showed up at this place after a great night at the BACC and support supporting a friend on his composing debut!

After having pizza here I realized the pizza is not up to par! The pizza was extremely thin crust to the point where you couldn’t even see the crust and I don’t know but that is not true Napoli pizza! 🍕 the spicy sausage was very scarce as well as the cheese and the crust was barely even there! It was like eating a piece of paper with some toppings on it! Nothing compared to the pizza I’ve had in other places in Bangkok - compared to the price this was extremely expensive for eating a piece of paper!

Other people ordered lasagna, I ordered the game hen and the Mojito that was served to one of our guests on our table barely had any alcohol in it! Overall it was kind of a rip off’ - the price for what we paid for especially for the pizza was not worth it 😞

Adding photos to it to show that we were there as a group the service was really good however we had to explain to our server so many times about separate billing and we ended up paying for our bill and not paying attention to it because we thought he understood However the bill was completely screwed up! Our pizza was on somebody else’s bill and one of the Mojitos was on someone else’s bill and overall it was a real screwup! The serving staff was super nice and friendly and they’re doing their best to serve a massive group like ours! But completely unorganized!

If you’re in this MBK center and like Italian food go for the pasta do not order the pizza! 🍕

The restaurant is situated in MBK Mall. It is well decorated and has very comfortable chairs. The service was excellent. There was a waiter who was super friendly and was singing along to all the song with me.

The mysic kept me in the restaurant for hours. It added to the overall atmosphere.

The lasagna I ordered was small compared to the cost but it was delicious and left me wanting more. The garlic bread was tasty and their complimentary bread also very delicious. It has herbs on it.

The lemon sorbet had a great balance of sweet and sour. The mojito was great and the tea was just what I needed to open my appetite.

The photo of their FILETTO DI MANZO (beef tenderloin) caught me eyes so I wanted to try it today 12/5. I was not expecting anything spectacular since Thailand imports their beef and that this place serve pizza. I don't associate pizza with fancy steak house. It was a big surprise to me how tender and delicious my medium/rare steak was. The testure was tender like fillet mignon, I can't tell the difference.
