Mo-Mo-Paradise @ MBK — Restaurant in Wang Mai Subdistrict

Most of the staffs are foreign workers (from Myanmar) which leads to their understanding in Thai is very limited. Hence, leads to very poor service and disastrous store management. They cannot handle any troublesome cases.

Just the other day, I went for the 20:00 meal, the store closes at 21:30, and we were told last order was at 21:00. The previous customer group which occupied my table had already paid the bill but still sat at their table and enjoyed their dessert while I was still waiting. I was patient until it was 20:15 that I went to speak to the staff that they need to remove those customers who exceeded their timeslot. The staffs were reluctant and did not know what to do until I pressed them to remove those customers from our table and I got to start my 20:00 meal slot at 20:23.

The staff still insisted that the last order were only at 21:00 despite my table being admitted in very late. We did order our desserts at 21:00 along with some more meat. Guess what, they served the ice cream along with the meat!! So, we were forced to chuck down the meat swiftly before our ice cream melt. Moreover, once it was 21:30, the staff told us the store was closing soon, rushed us to pay the bill, and tried to remove us even though we were trying to finish our melted ice cream. What a nightmare it was!!

I can promise you that was the last time I will ever go to this branch! It was very frustrating how inflexible the staffs were and a huge let down given how good the Momo Paradise brand were. I will not recommend anyone to this branch as their service...

I tried Momo based on seeing it on social media a lot. But honestly it was a little underwhelming, and I'll explain why.

Firstly, to bring you up to speed - this is an all you can eat shabu. So you can order as much beef/pork/chicken mince balls as you want. There's also unlimited salad bar and soft drinks on tap.

I've been to many Shabus and the food here did not feel very high quality or fresh. I will disclose I didn't try the Wagyu, as I only found out upon arrival this is a separate cost per person of around 890 baht + (and I think you pay per refill, but not 100% sure).

Most Shabus have sesame and soy sauce. And I'm usually fine with this, but I think more variety would have made this a better experience, as the meat was not that flavorful.

Momo's is not a bad choice - and I can see why a lot of people like it. But I've tried similar Shabus at the same price point which...

Expensive for this kind of service.

We arrived at 20.20 on Monday and they told us that we could eat until 22.00.

After just 10 minutes! They came to say that we had to order everything including desserts and we could not order more. “The kitchen would be closed soon.” We tried to be patient. Then at 21.00, they asked us to pay before that time they closed. They started to clean everything like pushing us to be fast. They stopped serving at 21.15 - 45 minutes before 22.00. They even started to clean the water bar. RUDE! Disappointed. The communication was bad here. This restaurant hires Myanmar people. Many things went wrong with the communication! Don't pay this much for this kind...
