Pasta & Hamburg — Restaurant in Wang Mai Subdistrict

I saw many unnecessary complains about queue system here but all I witnessed was the aunty lady at front doing her job very well. She’s able to efficiently manage all the queue, taking orders, receive payment with such friendly manner at all time, even help out with menu recommendations. So all you need to do is being a simple human-being, be patient with your queue, don’t leave the line just to come back too late and missed your turn (what a surprise, too many people does that). I pre-ordered my food then waited about 15 minutes, got a table. Simple task.

This was my first visit, came alone but I wanted to try many different pasta dishes in one visit so I order a lot. Garlic chili fettuccine with bacon and sausage. Spicy pesto cream penne with shrimps. Garlic butter pepper fettuccine with Thai ko khun beef.

Every pasta dishes cooked to perfection, just the right amount of chewiness. Because it’s Thai fusion pasta, the seasoning’s usually heavier but that’s how Thai people like. Spicy pesto cream was marvelous, full of flavor. Thai garlic chili (or I should say peperoncino) was superb as well, not too oily, salty and good amount of spiciness from dried chili. While garlic butter pepper was my least favorite just because the garlic was crispy fried. Would’ve been much better if the butter sauce infused with minced garlic.

I finished all 3 pasta dishes within 15 minutes on my own. So it’s safe to say that everything was pretty tasty. The price is fair compared to the portion you get.

Pasta Chula is a small shop that focuses on taste, not atmosphere. It is a small shop with only a few tables in the alley opposite the newly opened Layer Cake. However, the shop owner and staff are lovely, polite, provide good service, and provide good explanations. There is a sign saying that ordering dry stir-fried will be faster than the cream sauce type. The menu here is fettuccine with pesto cream and shrimp. The food is received quickly. Most importantly, it is delicious. I ordered the spaghetti stir-fried with drunken noodles and was very impressed. The taste is spicy and very pleasing to Thai people. รสชาติอาหารกลางๆไม่ได้ว้าวมาก คือถ้าอยู่แถวจุฬามากินได้ แต่ถ้าอยู่ อโศก อยู่ราม หรือไกลกว่านั้นไม่ต้องมา . เมนูสปาเก็ตตี้ ครีมไวท์ซอส รู้สึกเฉยๆ เมนูเพนเน่ เบค่อนซอสเนยกระเทียม เส้นแข็ง เมนูเฟตตูชินี่ ซอสครีมมันกุ้ง อร่อย . เรื่องบริการถือว่าแย่ ระบบการจัดการถึงขั้นติดลบ เกรงใจไม่อยากใช้คำว่าห่วย ทั้งที่เป็นเมนู made to order เพื่อประหยัดเวลา แต่ยังต้องมาเสียเวลาอ่านลายมือลูกค้าอีก ทั้งๆที่ความจริงมีไม่กี่เมนูเอง น่าจะปริ้นกระดาษเลย แล้วให้ลูกค้าติ้กถูกเมนูซอส✅ ติ้กถูกเมนูเส้น✅ เพื่อความรวดเร็ว หรือไม่ก็ทำน้ำซอสไว้เลย ลูกค้าสั่งก็อุ่นเส้น แล้วผักเบค่อน ผัดกุ้งเสริม . สมุดจองคิวให้แต่ละคนห่างกัน5นาที ทำเหมือนทางร้านมั่นใจว่าแต่ละคิวที่สั่งจะใช้เวลา5นาทีพอ แล้วถ้า.... คิวที่ 3 สั่ง 5กล่อง คิวที่ 4 สั่ง 1 กล่อง จะบริหารเวลายังไง . ตอนลงคิวก็ให้แค่ลงชื่อกับจำนวนคน แต่กลับไม่ให้เขียนเมนูไว้ ถ้าเขียนเมนู....เชฟจะได้รู้ว่า เมนูไหนใกล้เคียงกันจะได้ทำรวดเดียวเลย แล้วได้รู้จำนวนด้วย ว่าคิวนั้นๆสั่งกี่เมนู สั่งกี่จาน กินที่ร้านหรือห่อกลับ . ตอนไปสั่ง มีคิวนึง สั่ง7คน7กล่องแยก7ถุง(ไม่รู้7เมนูด้วยมั้ย)(เดาว่าคงเป็นเพื่อน แต่สั่งกลับไปกินที่บ้าน) ซึ่งเรามองว่าก็เป็นสิทธิ์ของลูกค้าทีพึงกระทำได้ . พี่ผู้หญิงคนรับออเดอร์พูดว่า เดี๋ยวเอา7กล่องใส่ถุงเดียว แล้วเอาถุงพลาสติกแยกไปให้ต่างหาก (ตอนนั้นคือทำไม่ทัน เลิ่กลั่ก ออเดอร์ล้นมือ คาดว่าคงจะทำเพื่อย่นเวลาในการเขียนเมนุที่ถุง) แต่เชฟอีกคนก็พูดกลับมาว่า.... น้องทั้ง7กล่อง เขาแยกไม่ออกหรอกว่ากล่องไหนเมนูอะไร . เราฟังแล้วก็เห็นด้วยกับเชฟนะ
