Ping's Thai Teochew Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Wang Mai Subdistrict

Disappointing and expensive. Both of our (different) prawn dishes were very tough. We only had a couple of mouthfuls and that was enough. We asked the dishes to be taken away. We were then given the bill before the dishes were cleared!!!! AND not one question as to why the dishes were returned virtually untouched. I tried to explain to the waitress but she had no idea and obviously did not speak English. Eventually another waitress came over and we explained our displeasure. Surprisingly the manager did not come near us, even though he was obviously briefed on the situation as I watched him from across the restaurant. If I was the manager I would have been over immediately. NOTE: we just spent 10 days at the Pullman Arcadia in Phuket and their prawns were delicious!!!! I do not recommend this...

Service: We landed late and arrived at the restaurant 1 hour prior to closing. Not a single employee had shown any sign of impatient nor rushed us, TOP service all the way!!! Food: Again, we arrived close to closing time and were expecting the quality to drop a little, but not a single bit! Ordered veggies, crabs, duck feet, birds nest, oyster omelet, all are so tasty. One thing to watch out is their spicy dishes are on the spicier side, so request to drop the spicy level as you need.

The restaurant is very clean, amenity is part of the 5 star hotel facilities and their standard is high.

I used to visit the Pings Shark Fin at Asoke, so was very happy to realize they also has a restaurant in Pathunam Princess hotel offers Teow Chew cuisines.A grand restaurant with elegant decorations,comfy and spacious seating. Service is top notch The Signiture Shark Fin is as good as one can get, tasty and delicious. So addictive once started. Other dishes are as good,so flavourful and every dish is done perfectly and balance in taste. If there is a small complaint we find the claypot noodle is gluey and soggy in texture.
