Krua Dok Mai Khao – A Refined Taste of Traditional Thai Cuisine

Krua Dok Mai Khao is a well-known Thai restaurant in Bangkok, celebrated for its authentic Thai flavors, elegant ambiance, and beautifully artistic décor inspired by white flowers — as its name translates to “White Flower Kitchen.” The restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience that blends traditional Thai dishes with a modern, serene setting.

• Authentic Thai Cuisine: Classic dishes such as Green Curry with Beef, Massaman Chicken Curry, Tom Yum Goong, and Deep-Fried Sea Bass with Fish Sauce. • High-Quality Ingredients: Carefully sourced and thoughtfully prepared to preserve the authenticity of Thai flavors. • Beautiful Ambience: A charming interior adorned with white floral accents, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere. • Must-Try Desserts: Taro Dumplings in Ginger Syrup, Thai Red Rubies in Coconut Milk, and Homemade Ice Cream. For our menu we order แกงส้มปลากระพง ใบเหลียงผัดไข่ น้ำพริก 3 อย่างเสริฟ์ พร้อมผักสด -Sour Curry with sea bass A bold and flavorful Southern Thai-style sour curry made with fresh sea bass, tamarind, and seasonal vegetables. Spicy, tangy, and deeply aromatic a signature dish for those who love authentic Thai heat. -Stir-Fried Bai Liang Leaves with Egg A Southern Thai specialty made with tender Bai Liang (Melinjo) leaves stir-fried with eggs. Rich, savory, and packed with natural umami — a comforting dish full of local flavor. We finished with coconut cake and...

I recently visited The White Flower Bakery & Restaurant on Bamrung Muang Road, and it was a charming experience. The modern, cozy ambiance makes it a great spot for a relaxed meal or coffee break. Their menu is a delightful mix of authentic Thai dishes like PadSiew(fried noodles with soya sauce),Tom Yum Koong and Pad Thai, Western options, and an impressive dessert lineup. The Thai Tea Crepe Cake was a highlight—light, creamy, and perfectly balanced with its rich Thai tea sauce. I also tried their coconut cake, which was fresh and flavorful.

The coffee here is a pleasant surprise. It was smooth, well-balanced, and made with selected local beans —perfect for pairing with their sweet treats. However, the food portions can feel a tad small for the price, which is slightly steep for Bangkok, though the fresh ingredients make up for it. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff offering great menu suggestions, but there was a slight language barrier, as not everyone spoke fluent English.

Located opposite Hua Chiew Hospital, it’s a bit out of the way if you rely on BTS/MRT, so plan for a cab or public transport. Parking is limited, with paid options nearby at 20 baht. They also offer takeaway and delivery, which is...

A great stop-off point for a nice lunch or a quality coffee and cake, if you're passing through this area. It gets really busy at lunchtime, so maybe book ahead if you want to guarantee a table.

I went here for lunch with 4 people. The seating and ambience is nice. The menu has a wide variety of Thai and international dishes - mid price range. Our bill was about 2,600 Baht for drinks, appetiser dishes to share, 3 main courses, soft drinks, cakes, ice-cream and coffee.

The food was really good quality. Nice fresh ingedients cooked well. I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips.

The service is not great. Although the staff were working really hard there are just not enough of them to cope with the lunchtime rush. I have also found this issue on previous occasions.

It was difficult to get our table cleared before coffee and deserts. One would expect a little better given the above average prices. Maybe worth hiring some part-time staff for peak periods?

Overall a very nice place. No parking outside but possible in the...
