Restaurant l'opéra — Restaurant in Maghreb

A brilliant locsl restaurant and bar just as 5dinar or 15 minute walk from le orangers hotel on the main road. Now, it would be 5 stars, but like all restaurants in Tunisia, people can smoke inside. So we had to choose our table away from others. The staff here are very nice and friendly helping out with any requests and changes. They have a tapas menu, main menu and drinks list. Oddly enough they serbe a couple of European beers at the same price as their local beers. The food is seriously good here, the three of us visited twice and would've gone more times. The plates ate loaded with meat, chips and veg. All cooked perfectly. Medium rare steak was beautiful and the wifes Lamb chops fab. All nice and hot with plenty of really tasty sauces. On our second visot we had a mixed sea food tapas to share and it was piled high with a good selection of sea foods. Obviously in the summer months yjey open a large front patio section (was covered in on our holiday with a big patio heater inside. They had a dj on our first visit and live singer our second playing and singing English chart songs as well as the odd local song. There are people dancing and it's a great atmosphere. Like all non-high end restaurants, the toilets are not the best. Fab food, music and atmosphere. So...

Okay so i’m going to tell you my experience with this lounge with zero feelings included I called to make reservation he hanged the phone on me , i recalled him he did answer then in the evening we went their the security guards didn’t accept for us to enter with no reservation i wouldn’t recommend it , i would recommend both the famous lounge its right next to it great service , good food or the la terrazza thats very close to it great service and great food as well , i just wanted to share my experience with y’all have a great evening no one deserves to be treated...

Opera⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) Un lieu avec du caractère, mais une ambiance bien particulière. On nous l’a recommandé comme un restaurant pour adultes, et c’est vrai en partie mais quelques détails méritent d’être précisés. Réservation – indispensable : Sans réservation, vous ne pourrez pas entrer. Le week-end, même avec réservation, après 22h il est presque impossible de trouver une table. Le restaurant est petit et se remplit vite, surtout le samedi. -Ambiance et clientèle : Les clients ont généralement plus de 30 ans. Pas d’adolescents ni de jeunes bruyants c’est un bon point. Cependant, l’ambiance est plutôt lounge / bar / pub, avec musique forte, lumière tamisée et une impression que les gens viennent plus pour socialiser que pour manger. -- Service – excellent : Le personnel est très professionnel et rapide. Les boissons arrivent en quelques secondes, toujours avec le sourire. -- Nourriture et boissons : Les plats sont corrects, pas exceptionnels mais satisfaisants. L’alcool est servi, les prix sont raisonnables. -- Points faibles : Il fait très chaud à l’intérieur, la musique est très forte, et les sièges hauts autour du bar sont inconfortables. C’est un endroit plus adapté à ceux qui cherchent une ambiance et des rencontres, qu’à un dîner tranquille. ▪︎Conclusion : Opera n’est pas un restaurant classique – c’est plutôt un lounge de soirée pour adultes, avec une clientèle plus âgée. Si vous aimez ce type d’endroit, vous serez ravis. Mais si vous recherchez un dîner calme et intime, il vaut mieux...
