This is a nice, I-want-to-be-in-the-Spanish-style kind of restaurant. The decor is a mix, but it is nice. The food is not your typical Spanish or Mexican retaurant. Everything is on the menu, including Italian and Turkish food. There is a pleasant atmosphere. There is outdoor seating as well - very nice in the summer months. The interior is busy, small and crowded, but in a pleasant way. The tables are minute, but waiters are happy to put two tables together to give you more space. Tbh, this is kinda cool because the interior is always changing shape. The music was non-obtrusive; you could still hear the person across from you. There are 2 delicious VEGAN dishes - a deconstruted burger and a vegan Buddha bowl. The service is clean. This place is located in the High Street of Ankara, with many shops, people from all walks of life, and a myriad of cafes and tattoo parlors. It's a nice part of the city brimming with life and this restaurant keeps...
Read moreA delightful escape in the heart of Tunalı — exceptional coffee, heavenly desserts, and heartfelt service. I recently visited Cafe Des Cafe in Kavaklıdere, Tunalı Hilmi Cd. 83/A, Çankaya with my bestie, and it was such a delightful experience! We ordered an Americano, a Cappuccino, and a Profiterole, and honestly — everything was absolutely delicious. The coffee was rich and smooth, and the profiterole was the perfect balance of creamy and sweet. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating such a warm and cozy atmosphere. A special shoutout to Melike, who truly went above and beyond to make our visit extra special — she was kind, attentive, and had such a lovely energy! The cafe itself is clean, cozy, and beautifully authentic — a perfect spot to relax, catch up with a friend, or even enjoy some solo time with a good book. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful cafe experience with amazing service and...
Read moreI really like the atmosphere of this place. It's one of those special -almost landmark-like places in Ankara for me. True, the space is a bit cramped, but the patio at the back is great for the summers. Yet, unless you are a smoker, it doesn't work as well for the winter. The menemen here is just for my taste the perfect amount of onions, green peppers and tomatoes to eggs, at the perfect heat level. The tea is also good. I didn't quite like the spinach sauce served on the chicken filled crepe, but the waiters were incredibly nice and kind. Now that there are so many competitors close by, it may not give you what it did 15 years ago, but I think café des cafés was able to maintain that certain standards for so long, it's certainly worth a try. If for breakfast: go for...
