I do not think there was anything positive about the experience our group had at this restaurant. The bad experience started when we were looking through the menu and the waiter asked us where we were from. When we informed him we were a group of Turkish and Americans, he took the menu from my friend’s hand and said “You should order sweet and sour chicken, Americans only like sweet and sour chicken!” We were quite shocked at his behavior. The friend he had grabbed the menu from politely informed him she had actually lived in China for two years and was very familiar with different types of Chinese food, and was not a fan of sweet and sour chicken. The waiter rolled his eyes and walked away. When he finally came back and we ordered our food, one friend ordered a satay chicken and I attempted to order another kind of chicken meal, which the waiter told me “That’s bad, it doesn’t taste good you will not like it order sweet & sour chicken!” I declined to order the sweet and sour chicken, but apparently I should have listened when he said my original order wouldn’t taste good because it didn’t and the texture of the chicken was abnormal. Maybe the sweet and sour chicken is the only good tasting thing on the menu? I can’t think of another reason he so forcefully tried to sell this item! Additionally, my friend who ordered the satay chicken watched as they walked her order out past us and sat it on the bar. Over the next ten minutes, they couldn’t figure out what table it went to and then they eventually took it back to the kitchen, walking it right past us where we could clearly see and smell that it was satay chicken. The waiter came back and said “We don’t sell satay chicken I’m sorry you’ll need to order something else.” Satay chicken has a VERY distinct smell and we literally just watched them walk her food out and then take it away. When we asked about this and why it was listed on the menu if they didn’t have it, the waiter insisted they don’t sell this. It’s very odd to lie to a group of people who all just literally saw and smelled a satay chicken plate being walked by them. Additionally, my friend was told she needed to order something else after we had been waiting almost thirty minutes for her to receive her food while everyone else had their food. Not only was there a complete lack of communication between the kitchen and wait staff, but there are also clearly poor time management skills. Furthermore, not a single item any of us ordered - multiple shareable items and meals - tasted right. All of it lacked flavor and for Chinese food it was all lacking salt. I prefer reduced salt on my food, but this food tasted as if there was not any salt on it at all! We kept having to say “pass the soy sauce” and drowning our food in it to get any flavor. Finally, when we received our bill the total was not correctly added as there were almost 500TL in additional charges that we could not get the restaurant to explain. We did the math three separate times calculating what we knew we had ordered and it never added up properly. Eventually, we ended up paying for the additional amount so that we could just leave and later realized they had still charged us for a satay chicken as the additional amount equated to what a satay chicken order would have been. So to summarize, this restaurant had terrible food, refused to serve an item they clearly had, and then still charged us for it...what kind of business is this? Overall, a terrible experience. I cannot recommend this place unless maybe you really want sweet and...

I was fortunate to find the restaurant after Ankara Tunali Cd became a mad place to try to get a taxi after a heavy and persistent rain shower. This made getting a taxi near impossible (a word I hate to use).
As a result, the friends I was meant to meet to go to another Chinese/Japanese restaurant found transport unavailable and had to cancel our plans.
Unfortunately and fortunately, my taste buds had already become expectant for a Chinese meal as I have been suffering from language starvation (a state where you do not know enough of the local language to ask for the food you want, so you settle for a snack like Lays).
The Wuyang restaurant was a few minutes from where I am staying.
Then, when my friends arrived, the front boss immediately recognized my apparent helpless news and greeted me in great English, immediately causing me to relax.
He also helped me to order food that I recognized, for which I am very grateful.
There were also a group of guys who I thought to be of Chinese origin enjoying and sharing a great spread of food after work. This again reinforced my anticipation.
I ordered hot and sour soup, special fried rice, and salt and pepper chicken.
(And some Bomonti beer, of course.)
Before my order came, the head waiter and floor chief brought me a small bowl of delicious, fragrant Kim Chi. As I was hungry, I rudely ate this rapidly, only to be quickly brought another.
Soon, my hot and sour soup came, followed shortly by the chicken and special rice.
All dishes were delicious, but I was unable to finish any except the soup.
These are large portions (at least for me), and it doesn't help that my tummy has been a little delicate since.
Having enjoyed the food, I visited twice more, leaving satisfied and having enjoyed a great dining experience.
Highly recommended.
When in Ankara, visit Wuyang for a delicious meal and a lovely...

With 4.6 star, I was quite excited to trying this restaurant after being fed up with Turkish food. Omg, I didn't think sweet and sour chicken could be that bad. Really oily and heavy, which made me feel kinda sick afterwards. I went for lunch so it was 55 lira, which is supposed to be a good deal for this restaurant but honestly not worth it. You don't even have to go to China or Asia to find better Chinese food than this. Even a second or third tier European city would have better Chinese food than this and cheaper. I genuinely feel sorry for all the people who consider this as a good Chinese food. Hope they get to try actually nice one elsewhere or Ankara gets a better place than this 😅
The 55 lira lunch deal was with this really sour and strongly flavoured soup, which I could only make a few sips, and a single spring roll, lol. The only good dish was the fish chips, which was served before the meal with sauce and bottomless water service for 3 lira. However, the restaurant was really clean (, which is not always the case with Chinese restaurants), and the servers were very attentive and fairly helpful. Also free wifi and outlet available. So, for that, I give 2 stars...
