Indigo Beach Club & Restaurant in Kalkan is where you go when you want to live your best “I-own-a-yacht-but-left-it-in-Monaco” life. Nestled right on the water, it’s the kind of spot that makes you consider selling everything and becoming a professional beach lounger.

From the moment you descend the steps, you’re greeted with the scent of sea air, sizzling food, and the distant sound of someone clinking ice into a very well-earned cocktail. The loungers are plush, the water is crystal clear, and the service is so slick it almost feels like the staff know what you want before you do. A cold drink? Already arriving. That dip in the sea? Steps away. That moment where you sigh dramatically and say, “I could get used to this”? Happens within five minutes.

We ate at the restaurant too, and let’s just say the food didn’t disappoint. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delivered with the kind of elegance that makes you forget you’re still wearing damp swimwear. The seafood? Glorious. The salads? Crisp, colourful, and probably healthy enough to justify dessert (which you absolutely should have).

Whether you’re popping in for lunch, spending the day stretched out under the sun, or simply sipping something cold while pretending you’re in a perfume advert, Indigo delivers. Five stars, one sunburnt toe, and a newfound belief that beachside living is the only kind of living...

The food, the view, the staff - They absolutely complement each other in every way, resulting in a very pleasant dine in experience for us.

The seafood casserole is definitely a must try, goes very well with their house wine.

We also ordered the grilled chicken, tomato stuffed tuna, garlic mushroom and a seafood pizza. All quite good. But the casserole definitely takes the cake.

The staff are all friendly and welcoming too.

One thing to note especially, in a country where almost all restaurant staff try to usher and pressure you to come in, Indigo certainly takes a more calm approach. We in no way felt pressured to dine. We took our time to check the place out, get the feel of things without being pestered. I'd say...

The go to place in Kalkan...centrally located right on the water, the place is charming in its own way although it is getting a li’l worn down. 15 years ago when I was visiting Kalkan with my teenage son, sipping our cocktails on the veranda, we felt like at any moment we were going to befriend a couple of blonds and hop on our vespas parked outside and head out to the hills behind. Now we sheepishly sip our white wines at the bar and start some days chanting ommmmm on its still functional veranda with small waves crashing under. don’t miss it if you are in Kalkan.
