I had one of the most delightful dining experiences in Turkey. This restaurant is a family-owned business, and you can feel it in every detail – from the warm welcome to the care put into every dish that reaches your table. The food is absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. We were offered complimentary appetizers, a gesture that speaks volumes about their hospitality. The bread was extraordinary – fresh, fluffy, and warm, perfect to pair with the dishes. The desserts were just as wonderful, sweet and flavorful, and the coffee and tea were exactly as they should be – rich, aromatic, and served with great care. The atmosphere is truly special – the interior design is beautiful and intimate, with details that make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Attention to detail is evident everywhere, and the staff welcomes and treats you like an old friend. Read moreThis evening we had dinner at Gloria Taş Ev and it was simply exquisite.
The restaurant was beautiful, the service was friendly and hospitable, the food was delicious, and it was priced very reasonably.
They provide a generous complementary entree of the typical Turkish starters (I’m sure there is a word for this but I’m too ignorant to find out), and complementary tea at the end. While some may expect this at restaurants in Turkey most tourist trap restaurants such as those in Goreme and Istanbul don’t.
If you are vegan they offer a vegetarian kebab which is vegan if you simply ask for no cheese which they happily and easily accommodate.
Gloria Tas Ev is a haven away from the tourist traps in Goreme and will be our go to for the next couple of days. The fact that it is even possible to find an authentic and reasonably priced restaurant near such a touristic hub such as Goreme has renewed my faith...
Read moreThis place is amazing we just came to Cappadocia from Istanbul and we drove all over in Goreme looking for a place to eat, and either it was too expensive or the food didn’t look delicious at all and then we found this hidden gem, it’s located in another city which is just 15 minutes away from Goreme in Avanos
The furniture and plates are handmade which make it more unique and I HAVE TO SAY we visited different restaurants in TURKEY 🇹🇷 and this restaurant definitely IS THE BEST ⭐️
If you can’t find it you just need to go up the hill and follow the signs you will eventually see it! AND AGAIN ITS WORTH IT !
And for the prices comparing the other places it’s the most reasonable place we are going to comeback on Feb 14 and spend our special Valentines...
