Stunning Views and Location, but Beware of Double Pricing and Service
I recently visited this establishment drawn in by its breath-taking views and prime location along the Bosporus. The ambiance is unparalleled, with every seat offering a picturesque vista of the sea. Additionally, the complimentary Bosporus sea taxi service adds a unique touch, allowing guests to further immerse themselves in the beauty of the surroundings.
However, I must address a significant concern regarding the pricing system. It appears that there is a double pricing strategy in place, which is disappointing and frankly unfair to customers. While I understand the desire to accommodate tourists and locals alike, transparency in pricing is crucial for maintaining trust and satisfaction. We were 2 person and we asked for 1 Fried Calamari (it was charged 2 portions), asked for 1 grill octopus (charged 2 portions), asked for garlic butter shrimp 1 portion (charged 3 portions). When we asked we did not orfer such portions; they said they are charging 1 portion for each person which they never told in advance. They are literally scammers.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the level of service. While the staff is generally friendly, there were instances where attention to patrons seemed lacking. Additionally, guests may find themselves needing to serve themselves at times due to the limited availability of staff.
Despite these drawbacks, I cannot deny the allure of this establishment. The views alone make it a worthwhile visit, and the ambiance is unmatched. With some improvements in pricing transparency and service efficiency, this place has the potential to be truly...

If you're a Saudi, a hair transplant doctor, or Tom Cruise, then you'll enjoy this restaurant and won't even think twice about the price. For those who cannot afford to sell their kidney for a lunch, stay away.
We walked into an empty restaurant, greeted by a very nice staff. We started by walking up to the case and picking what we wanted to eat. The food is excellent - no doubt about that. The service is impeccable - I won't deny that either. Everything was perfect until we got the check.
We had a table for 6 people and we ordered 6 dishes, a bottle of wine, and 3 cocktails. When providing the check THEY DIDN'T TELL US THE INDIVIDUAL PRICES FOR EACH ITEM. THEY CAME TO US WITH ONLY A PIECE OF BLANK PAPER WITH A NUMBER ON IT. The price was 7150 TL!!!!! That's $900; $150 per person??? You surely must be joking. I think the staff is laughing right now thinking about how dumb we were to agree to pay that amount.
For comparison, we had the same type of dinner the night before and that was only 500 TL which is $10 per person.
Uskumru - you CANNOT hide the prices from customers and then charge that amount. I felt like I was kindly robbed. This is an absolute disgrace to your country if this is how you treat people who want to experience your culture. You made what was one of the best food experiences into one of the worst ones (would have been 5 stars). Honestly, I see why the...
Read moreDon’t waste your time looking for a menu online. There is none. The website doesn’t even have a non-Turkish version. There is no menu at the restaurant either. And the staff, although friendly, and considering a popular with locals and tourists, a high priced restaurant, surprisingly only spoke Turkish, so a bit challenging to communicate what you want to order, ... remember there is no menu. You point from the meze display, and you point from the seafood display... that’s it! The food was very good though. The salads where a highlight and the fruit plate was large. And baklava wasn’t bad either. Try to reserve a table on the dock, and near sunset. Tip: the boat shuttle will pick you up from the European side (dock is opposite Lokma), and make sure you let the restaurant staff know you need one back. They will arrange...
