McDonald's Beyoğlu — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

This was the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to. Very very lazy employees that want nothing to do with you, it’s like they are forced to be there. When I walked in to this McDonald’s with my small baby and a stroller and came to place an order the lady told me I have to go to the 3rd floor to place order. There is no elevator so I had to carry my baby and stroller up the steps to the 3rd floor (this is not the issue that I had with this McDonald’s) so I place 4 order of chicken nuggets and and 2 big meals for my nephews and after I took the food to the table I noticed she did not give any sauces so when I went back to ask for 1 sauce she wanted to charge me extra, she said u only can get once sauce with each meal. I told her that’s fine but I did not get any and my food is on the table if she would like to check she did not want to hear it very very very rude. And this was not the worst thing yet. After carrying the baby and the stroller down stairs I notice food on the counter down stairs where I was told I had to go upstairs and order . So I asked another employee could I order food here and he responded yes. So I asked the girl the one who told me I had to order on the 3rd floor y did u make me go the 3rd floor and she had not response, only a dumb look on her face. Shame on all of...

I understand that Istanbul is a city with a lot of food heritage, but sometimes you just need a break from local food, and you would like to have a familiar taste. If you do, don’t eat at McDonald’s in Istanbul. I also understand that this McDonald’s is in Turkey, but that doesn’t mean the Big Mac has to take like Sucuk. Big Mac meat should taste the same everywhere in the world. Fries were unsalted, staff were very unfriendly, almost rude. Floor was sticky on the first 2 floors.Tables are not frequently cleaned; they were greasy and very dirty, and so are the bathrooms. To enter the bathroom you need to input a “PIN” that is supposed to be on your receipt, the pin machine was all Mayo and the Pin didn’t even work. The bathrooms are reminiscent of Highschool bathrooms; they stink horribly and seem like they haven’t been cleaned for weeks. Maybe McDonald’s shouldn’t be expected to be as good a regular restaurant, but McDonald’s in every place I’ve been to has been a far better experience.

Istaklal, from Taxim to Galata when we walk, this is on the left. We were in Turkey between 8 and 22 May 2024. This visit was between 19 and 22 May 2024 in Istanbul. Worst MacDonalds branch and worst unsmiling Lady and a Gent as you enter. As soon as you enter the lady shouts up. The most confusing setup. They are unfriendly and abusive too. When you go up the A/C is almost non existent and it is suffocating and air smells stale . We, my daughter of 17 years and myself left without ordering and when downstairs we informed A/C doesn't work and is difficult to sit, they both abusively said NO, IT WORKS. We repeated twice that it doesn't work and is suffocating up there, then we didn't want to waste any further time and came out and continued our walk towards stores and Galata. Rather surprised haw can they exist like this? Rather stupid people and management. No where else in Turkey we found such abusive and disinterested hosts, in contrary found most people in Turkey very welcoming and hospitable and always ready to help.
