During my two-week vacation in Turkey, I had the pleasure of visiting Emre Restaurant in Kas twice, and it was an unforgettable experience! This little local family-run restaurant offers the most delicious homemade Turkish foods and a (honest) warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s better to go for lunch, or for dinner if you can make it before 8:30 PM, as everything tends to be finished if you go late. I visited for both lunch and dinner, and lunch is definitely the best time to enjoy the full range of their delicious offerings. They should just maybe consider offering bigger portions. The restaurant is run by a lovely family: the mother and father, who cook alongside their oldest son, two sons (the restaurant is named after the youngest brother), and their daughter, Dilay. Additionally, two other wonderful people, Ramazan and Kadir, work there. I tried about 7-8 different dishes, and each one was incredibly delicious. This restaurant is a must-visit if you want to taste authentic Turkish cuisine and experience a great meal. For me, it’s not just about having delicious food in a luxury setting; it’s about the experience and the people. I especially enjoyed the company of Dilay, Ramazan, and Kadir, who are some of the kindest people on earth. Their smiles and company made my visits truly special. Love you guys, and I hope to see you again!

P.S. The food is reasonably priced, around 180 lira for a meal, but I ordered a variety of dishes. You can also order different things in one portion, which I found to be a great way to sample more...

This family-owned restaurant offers a heartwarming dining experience with its delightful homemade food and welcoming atmosphere. From the first step inside, you're embraced by the charm of a true family-run establishment. The menu boasts dishes bursting with flavor and authenticity, reminiscent of cherished home-cooked meals. Notably, their Taze Fasulye is a must-try. What truly distinguishes this restaurant is the genuine hospitality of the owners and staff, who go above and beyond to make you feel like part of their family. With generous portions and reasonable prices, it's a remarkable value. In summary, if you seek a cozy, family-friendly setting to savor delicious homemade food, this hidden...

We’ve been in Turkey for more than a week, and Emre Restaurant was our favorite dining experience so far. It felt authentically Turkish, yet welcoming to two non-Turkish speaking foreigners. Instead of a menu, we were asked to choose from several pots and casseroles inside, with help and advice from a friendly English speaking waitress and an enthusiastic chef. We chose chicken roasted with potatoes, onions and oregano, eggplant stew with ground meat, stuffed peppers, beans, and tzatziki (yogurt with cucumber, garlic and mint). It was more than enough for two, and with a soda and sparking water, the bill came to less than $20 US....

It’s a very good restaurant. Many local people will have dinner here. I especially like this chicken legs because the taste and tenderness are good. Even if I’m not used to Turkish food (because I’m a Chinese and I’m used to Chinese food), their seasonings are very good. In a word, it was a very pleasant meal. The shopkeeper is also very warm and polite. I like this restaurant very much. 😁

A family run small restaurant you need to visit if you want to try good Turkish traditional cuisine. We ordered chicken soup, okra, bean stew, meatballs, 2 portions rice, salad, ayran, and soda. We paid 395 TL, which I think a fair deal. The chicken soup is the highlight, so yummy! The okra was also my favorite. Chickpeas and meatballs were just okay, not very special.
