I had the pleasure of visiting Maya Steakhouse and Wine Shop with my significant other during our stay in Kas, Antalya. The venue’s location near the pedestrian street, with a cozy backyard and chic interior, provided a French café ambiance that immediately caught our attention.

Our first experience included a glass of wine each, where we also noticed the menu’s appealing wine selection, including Prosecco. Excited to try more, we returned to open a bottle of Prosecco. Unfortunately, the Prosecco was flat upon opening, as it had a screw cap and had lost its fizz. Though disappointed, we were thoroughly impressed with the staff’s excellent attitude towards wine and their dedication to providing top-notch service.

Without hesitation, we opted for a glass of white wine, which proved to be delightful. The staff went above and beyond, offering us complimentary olives and various snacks as a gesture of goodwill.

The prices were quite reasonable, and despite the minor hiccup with the Prosecco, the overall experience was enjoyable. The combination of ambiance, wine variety, and customer service made our visit to Maya Steakhouse and Wine Shop a memorable one.

We asked for three different wines by the glass, but none were available—only “house wine,” supposedly because it was the end of the season. I ended up buying a $30 Turkish Riesling for $100, which was pleasant enough. Still, offering just one white wine by the glass in September is either poor management or a deliberate upsell tactic. Either way, it feels like a rip-off.

I posted this review while at the restaurant. I was confronted and intimidated simply because I posted a Google review while still at the restaurant. Surprisingly, Instead of addressing my feedback professionally, i was confronted about my origins, because my turkish was limited. All this occurred while we had not finished drinking the bottle of wine we ordered. We took the remaining wine and left. I was blamed for the restaurant’s ability to deliver on what they had on the menu, moreover they bullied us out of the place prior to finishing what we ordered. let this be a warning to all. We only had one evening for a meal in Kaş and went pass 3 other options before choosing Maya. Our waiter Betül was süper helpful with questions and understood my allergy needs. We chose the calamari, seasonal salad, Maya steak and blue cheese steak with a carafe of house wine. The calamari was cooked to perfection, soft and fresh. The salad with a balsamic dressing was just so delicious. Our steaks were both perfectly done, even the veggies (broccoli, carrot, potatoes) on the side was not neglected and complimented the steak beautifully. I think the veg may have been finished on the chargill, there was a crispness and sweetness bringing out the flavour of the veg. There are no pricing on the menu board outside, simply step inside and ask. There is also a good selection of local wines from the region. We chose to sit in the garden but there are also seating which is cosy and feels like a wine house should. There are also fish, chicken and vegetarian options.
