Excellent Turkish Pizza restaurant...Unfortunately its boss doesn't know how to treat the employees and his wrong behaviour resulted in all service people to leave the restaurant and now they cannot hire!!! Because nobody wants to work for this restaurant due to the boss and the restaurant cannot operate the upper floor due to the lask of service people!!! Yesterday there were 3 people helping them all friends and family and no clue about the restaurant business. More so the current staff doesn't know how to treat the customers... So Halil Lahmacun restaurant is in the bankrupt process which I believe won't last long....sad to see that despite all the changes in the world and around there are blind folded people like Halil'e boss unable to understand anything about the new way of doing business and the right way to treat the customers.
I have gone there earlier today and same lack of customer focus. But same great food as...

First bad sign the staff was so unhappy, sad faces as if they didn't want to be there. We had to ask for a menu just to see what else they offered. They were nonchalant about taking my order, did not confirm the order etc. The food came out quickly, however the dough was flavorless, the lahmacun was bland, one of the worst I had in Turkiye. The pide was also not tasty we had to add sugar to make it taste better and eat as a sweet. They have an upstairs which was closed and many people were basically turned away, due to limited seating. Overall it was not good. Go to the other locations they...
Read moreIf you want to try great traditional lahmacun, Halil is a must for a quick bite. There is a reason there is only a few things on the menu. Lahmacun is basically a very thin style pizza that you put parsley and lemon on, roll it up and enjoy! Halil is an institution on the asian side area of Kadıköy in Istanbul. Many lahmacun are very oily and heavy. Halil's lahmacun is light and makes it easy to devour a few. I recommend the spicy option. Its not that hot trust me, and just gives a better flavour. The kunefe dessert is also quite good. You won't be dissapointed and its great value for money. You can eat a few great traditional turkish delicacies in just 30 minutes. A must for everyone's bucket list when touring the asian...
