AVOID THIS HOTEL! What a terrible experience. It is NOT SAFE for women. Beshir who is responsible and the only person on reception will say otherwise. Each time I raised an issue or asked a question he was able to turn it into something else. Anyone can walk upto the rooms as you do not need a key card to go upto higher floors. His reply is simply that "I am always at reception". Which is literally impossible. I made it clear my wife did no feel safe and has had a bad experience in the past. He was adamant that his hotel was "Different." Additionally the room smelled of smoke when we checked in, the windows were open and the rooms are nothing like what the photos make them seem. It is the TEMU version of what you see online. Secondly all of the good reviews are clearly fake or paid for. The price is extortionate. The rooms all had paper thin walls and no room to put your luggage. When I raised the issue that there was no vegetarian breakfast, he saw it as me making problems. We were there for around 30 minutes before we left. Please go elsewhere and get something far superior for the same price. This is a 1 star hotel charging 4 star hotel prices. We were charged $140 as a "Cancellation Policy". Nothing adds up. Upon asking for a refund, all Beshir was able to do was get defensive and make a long list of problems we had as reasons for wanting a refund. He told the Expedia agent that we were asking for a jacuzzi in our room. In reality, I had asked if there was a jacuzzi at the hotel. To sum it up, a hotel not having basic security is enough for anyone to feel unsafe, most of all a woman. You expect more than a guy at reception being the default "security". All in all a horrible experience. Never in our life have we gotten to a hotel and left to go to another hotel within 30 minutes. We had travelled 11 hours, were exhausted, my wife did not feel well and we just wanted to sleep. So you can imagine how bad this hotel is, to get in a taxi, head to another part of town and do this entire booking process again. Save yourself the money, headache and time. Book anything else...

Read moreA wonderful hotel! I liked the location, the interior, the service. La Vita Suites was a good value. We stayed there for one night only, but to be honest I regretted having stayed in 2 other hotels in Istanbul before that. We should have chosen this one from the very first day in Istanbul. We'd thought that a hotel next to all the historic sites would be more convenient, but they were so old and outdated, with old towels and bedsheets, and the food in the old part of the city was awful and extremely expensive. The thing is that public transport is really good in Istanbul, and it appeared to be even romantic to go from and to Kadikoy, where La Vita Suites is located, by boat ⛵ And we went to the airport by metro - the line was direct (I mean Sabiha Airport). So, maybe it isn't worth staying next to the main attractions, paying too much for shabby hotels. Here everything was new and clean - the furniture, the taps, the sheets and the towels. There were also aromatic sticks which made the smell pleasant and the atmosphere cozy. The nightlife around La Vita Suits is really exciting) a lot of bars and we even got to the rock concert nearby. Nice breakfast, not a buffet, but served for each guest separately (my husband expected some sausages though, there were only eggs and the set of typical small plates with different food) but I was happy with some Nutella). And cool restaurants close to Pasabahche park. Next time we'll choose La Vita...
