This place left a strange ambiguous impression on me. On one hand, they got decent coffee that tastes smooth, balanced and not over roasted like pretty much everywhere you go. Plus, the fact that they have their own original recipes on the beverage list is definitely an advantage. Some hardcore Breaking Bad fans might as well enjoy the coffeeshop's theme and merchandize. On the other hand though, I was probably having too many expectations of the staff who didn't really seem friendly to me. Whenever I come back to visit Turkey, Istanbul, one of my favorite places to stop by is Walter’s Coffee in Kadıköy, Moda. This cafe has delicious coffee and cookies, and the quality is always amazing.

What makes Walter’s different from other coffee shops is that they have their own roastery. You can really taste the freshness in every cup! My absolute favorite is the cortado. it’s perfectly balanced, smooth, and just the right amount of strong.
