İzmir Deniz Restaurant — Restaurant in Konak

I don’t care if this a 3-5 star restaurant but i swear this restaurant have the most rudest service. Not even close to 5 star. I’ve been around the world. NEVER walk out from any restaurant like this

We didn’t make any reservations and perhaps our bad that we didn’t dress PROPERLY so the old uncle let us sit in corner. Then he throw the qr code for e-menu. We told them we DON’T have a simcard here and our phone network is not working! The guy almost yell at us and said “you have phone but you have no number?!”

YES UNCLE we have phone but not every tourist have a phone network in Turkey. So first of all try to improve your service Don’t judge people by how they dress. They might have money more than your whole life working and If people don’t have enough money to eat. They would’t walk to a restaurant.

2.Customer service is the most important. It doesnt matter if the customer is asian, kids, teenages. If you count yourself as a 5 star restaurant. You better treat everyone the same

No yelling to customer and insted try to fix the problem not yelling!

In the end we are glad that we walk out and didn’t order. It is rude but i think we are polite enough to listen to that guy yelling before we left. Ps. The waitress was trying to help us which is really nice and seem she is the only person who trying to...

Exceptional service and attentiveness with some English speaking staff. The fresh fish and seafood pasta were very yummy and reasonably priced. The only downside was a lack of coffee as a menu option. We went twice during our stay in the locality and were very pleased with the overall experience both times.

Update: a third visit had again very good food but the service lacked severely in comparison to the previous 2 evenings (still a normal level of service but not up to the previous exceptional standard), so 2 of 3 servers we had were excellent (on 3 consecutive days). The 3rd was unfortunately not as attentive; missed the additional starter menu, did not clear some plates in a timely manner, did not provide the check in a timely manner (we had to go get it ourselves at the front) and was not as experienced when serving wine. The atmosphere of our meal was unfortunately affected by the lack of interest in our custom on the last day but we can still attest to the very good food and other highly skilled servers - I would recommend this place to English speaking travellers seeking a...

I don't understand why some people would give this restaurant a bad review, everything is pretty nice in this restaurant. I like the style of this restaurant, they would let you go to the tank and choose the fish you want to dine. Then they would ask you what kind of style you want your fish to be cooked. The waiter is very helpful and he knows a lot English. The waiter is very nice, we ordered lobster and he is willing to help us peel off the lobster piece by piece so we can digest more parts of lobster. I love the way how they cook cod fish and lobster. The lobster is really huge and it is boiled thoroughly, very very fresh out from the tank. The fish is really juicy too, not overcooked with too much butter and very fresh. The soup is different from ordinary soup, it has a rich rich fish taste while not putting too much salt in it.
