October 2024. I really enjoyed this venue for the hour or so I was there. A live band, singing local rock which was great (I didn’t understand it, but you don’t need to speak the language to know good music). There’s an entry charge, and the guy at the door keeps a tab running which you pay on exit. I didn’t think drinks were expensive as others have found, paying the equivalent of £5 for a vodka and mixer is quite standard, and cheap compared to the UK. This is a city at the end of the day, and this bar is more for local music lovers rather than tourists who are looking for a cheap date. Great atmosphere, and free jalapeños. Luckily I made hand gestures clearly stating "no" to both the girl and the staff - so when they tried to threaten me with a charge of 2000TL, two grown men, and "camera footage" - I stood my ground and said I'd wait for the police. Music is still good, but i noticed that they bring girls to the foreigners and charge them outrageous prices.
