The food is so good! The chef must be one of the best. The food is not only amazingly tasty and beautiful, but the flavours are combined in ways that are new but somehow feel like you’ve always loved them this way. It is like high cuisine and home cooked food at the same time. We were pleasantly surprised with the service, especially with our three noisy kids and the large stroller. Disappointing. The place looks promising and cosy but the food is terrible. The babaganoush was bitter as hell, the fish was not fresh and the mashed potatoes had no taste at all. Had to ask a few times in order to receive the check, waited around 20 minutes for it though the place was not crowded. The waiters were probably busy taking more fish out of the freezer. If you come to ODESSA for atmosphere (and you actually always do), then you need to check out places popular with locals. Those locals who travel the world and know stuff.

And that's Dizyngoff. That's where they hang out, not in your tourist-shmourist places at Deribasovskaya or whatever.

Did I tell you the place is run by someone who worked for the industry in Paris? That's true, although they don't particularly advertise that. Why? Locals...
