Tioschin Bridge — Attraction in Odesa Urban Hromada

this padestrian bridge is known as mother-in-law bridge. the name was given by and popularized among the local people after the secretary of the local communist party mihail sinitsa commissioned to construct the bridge in 1968. people were not sure why suddenly a bridge was constructed there. rumour spreaded that mihail loved pancake of his mother in law and it was difficult for him to travel to mother in law's house every noon without a direct bridge. in fact his mother in law lived in some other place and construction of the bridge cannot be justified in this manner, but rumour is rumour. people loved to believe that. this bridge oscilates or vibrates a little, and it is clearly felt if one stands in the bridge. it was rennovated a number of times. the authority removed the love locks from the bridge railing as those increased the dead load, and moved all locks to a heart-shaped structure at the beginning...

Народні назви: Тещин міст або Танцюючий міст. Матеріал: сталь. Пішохідний(однак розрахований на автомобільний рух спочатку) міст з'єднує Приморський бульвар і бульвар Жванецького.З одного боку—Воронцовський палац, з іншого—Шахський. Був зведений над спуском Жанни Лябурб(до революції і нині—Військовий спуск) в 1968 р. за проектом архітектора А.Володимирівської та інженера Кирієнко. Його хотіли побудовати до 50—річчя революції, але спізнилися. Міст був спроектований та побудований за розпорядженням М.Синиці—першого секретаря обкому партії в Одесі. Це найдовший (130 м.), високий(30 м.) і вузький міст в Одесі. Перша офіційна назва Тещиного мосту—Комсомольський. Згодом його назвали Капітанським. Втім, у наш час ні та, ні інші назви ніде не фігурують.Цікаво, що міст є зменшеною копією мосту Великої герцогині Шарлотти(Червоний міст) у Люксембурзі, побудований у 1957—1966 роках.
