Recent vist in July 2024# Visited soul of India to taste Gola.
We ordered, Dahi balla, Gola, samosa chat and Gobi parata. Gola and chat tasted good. But we were very disappointed with GOBI Parata :(.. It was not cooked well, very less stuffing, no proper spices.
Dahi balla, balls were dry not juicy n soft as before. #$$$$$$$$$$
Visited this restaurant while I was passing by nearby area. Went to enquire about the opening date 📅 .
Testing was happening in the restaurant.. They invited us to come inside and taste the food..
Got a chance to taste "Pani puri" and "Dahi Bhalla."
Pani puri =10/10 puries were very crispy, which were different than other puries, which we generally get @chat restaurants . Puries were severed with 2 different types of water and aloo curry. Green and brownish Water both tasted great...
Dahi Bhalla=10/10 We tasted it for the 1st time..it was so tangy and had mixed flavors.. vada was so spongy and juice.. My kid loved it...must try dish.
Severing and plating were so beautiful...
The ambiance is so pretty...
Tentitive opening date 📅 of this restaurant will be between 15th yo 20th of...
Read moreDisappointing Experience – Lacked the Soul of Indian Flavors
Visited Soul of India on the Corniche with high hopes, but left quite disappointed. I ordered the Gobhi (Cauliflower) Paratha and Aloo Pyaaz (Potato Onion) Paratha, and both were shockingly bland and tasteless, with no trace of the traditional Indian spices that define these dishes.
After giving immediate feedback about the Gobhi Paratha, I expected some improvement, but the Aloo Pyaaz Paratha was just as flavorless. I had only one bite and left the rest untouched, yet they still charged the full amount—showing a complete lack of basic courtesy or customer care.
To make matters worse, the staff was neither courteous nor apologetic. There was no effort to acknowledge the feedback or make amends.
Please think twice before going to this worst place i have ever visited.
For a restaurant that calls itself Soul of India, the experience lacked both flavor and soul. Definitely not worth the visit if you're expecting authentic Indian food and...
