Dining at The Phuket Kitchen was an immersive culinary experience that transported me straight to the heart of Thailand. Each dish was meticulously crafted, showcasing a harmonious blend of traditional Thai flavors with an elevated presentation.
We commenced our meal with the Fried Shrimp Cakes, which were impeccably crisp on the outside and delectably succulent within. The accompanying dipping sauce, subtly sweet with a hint of acidity, enhanced the savory depth of the shrimp without overwhelming it.
The Phad Thai exemplified balance and finesse. The rice noodles were delicately stir-fried to a perfect al dente texture, enveloped in a nuanced tamarind-based sauce that artfully blended sweetness, umami, and a gentle tang. Garnished with crushed peanuts and a wedge of lime, the dish offered a pleasing interplay of textures and flavors.
Arguably the highlight of the evening was the Thai Green Beef Curry. This velvety, coconut-infused curry was imbued with aromatic herbs and spices, delivering a slow-building heat that was both invigorating and deeply comforting. The beef was exceptionally tender, absorbing the richness of the green curry with aplomb, while the accompanying jasmine rice provided a fragrant counterbalance.
To conclude, the Mango Sticky Rice offered a sublime finale. The ripe mango slices were lusciously sweet, juxtaposed against the warm, glutinous rice bathed in a delicately salted coconut cream — a testament to the Thai mastery of sweet-savory contrasts.
In Summary: The Phuket Kitchen offers a thoughtfully curated gastronomic journey through Thai cuisine. With its attentive service, refined flavor profiles, and artful execution, it is a destination well worth revisiting for both the discerning palate and the Thai food enthusiast alike.

My recent visit to The Phuket Kitchen Restaurant was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, the inviting ambiance and the traditional Thai decor set the stage for an unforgettable culinary experience.
Items I tried
Thai Milk Tea: The Thai milk tea was a perfect blend of creamy and sweet, with the right hint of tea flavor. It was refreshingly cool and provided a wonderful start to the meal.
Tom Yum Soup (Prawn): The Tom Yum soup was a delightful explosion of flavors. The broth was rich and spicy, with a perfect balance of tanginess. The prawns were fresh and succulent, and the addition of mushrooms and herbs made it an aromatic and fulfilling dish.
Pad Thai Beef: The Pad Thai was absolutely delicious. The beef was tender and cooked to perfection, blending seamlessly with the noodles and the robust flavors of tamarind and peanuts. The dish was garnished beautifully with fresh vegetables, making it as visually appealing as it was tasty.
To my pleasant surprise, the staff went above and beyond to make my visit special by presenting me with a beautiful birthday dessert. The mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream were served with a heartfelt birthday note. The sticky rice was perfectly cooked, and the mango was fresh and sweet. The coconut ice cream added a refreshing touch, making it a perfect ending to a perfect meal.
A heartfelt thank you to The Phuket Kitchen Restaurant for giving me the best birthday surprise. Your thoughtfulness and exceptional service made my day truly memorable. I look forward to visiting again and reliving this amazing experience.
Thank you once again for a wonderful meal and an unforgettable birthday...
Read moreWe called in advance for a family of 6 celebrating a birthday dinner and came to find that they had set us on a corner thoughtfully decorated with a birthday sign and some balloons. It was sweet of them.
Phuket Kitchen is a beautifully put together intimate medium size restaurant specialising in authentic Thai dishes. Its not a fine dining venue but definitely nicely themed and a bonus for those looking for unique visuals.
Prices are midrange and fair for the quality and portions served. I'll get back to that later.
The team was very helpful and specially Jet who was designated to assist us. He was knowledgeable with the dishes we were asking about and attentive to needs for additional orders and other queries.
Now the food. Portions are generally single or at least good for two portion dishes if you'd be sharing. The kitchen was very quick too. For those used to giant servings, its not. I'd describe it as delicately portioned befitting that these dishes are to be savoured and enjoyed, not scarfed in a hurry.
All of the dishes are designed to evoke Thai home cooking elevated with creative plating and of course, good cooking to make you feel satisfied and come back for more. Hence my saying that for the midrange prices for each single portion/medium sized order, it was fairly priced. It was lovely experience and Id go back to try more of their dishes and calm ambiance.
And the toilet is well...
