Mister Idli — Restaurant in Al sawan

I ordered breakfast through the Smiles app at 10:20 AM, and the order arrived at 11:00 AM. However, I noticed that the Podi Dosa was missing.

After informing the restaurant, they admitted that their service staff made a mistake. While I appreciated their acknowledgment, I requested a replacement as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, the response from the restaurant was disappointing. The person handling the call seemed reluctant to arrange a redelivery, questioning the location instead of prioritizing the mistake. After insisting, they finally delivered the dosa at 12:00 PM—nearly two hours after it was originally prepared at 10:15 AM.

To make matters worse:

The dosa was cold and stale by the time it arrived.

The packaging was leaking, making it a mess.

The restaurant’s attitude was dismissive, as if they were providing the item for free instead of correcting their own mistake.

When I tried to follow up, they ignored my messages.

This level of service is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but how a restaurant handles them makes all the difference. Poor customer service, delayed response, and low food quality—definitely not a good experience!

Would not recommend unless they improve...

We came during the lunch time. The food we indulged was: Filter coffee 🌟🌟🌟🌟 always my favourite and hard core fan Lunch shappadu 🌟🌟🌟🌟- served in leaf with rice, sambar, thoran and pappadam. Chapathi is also Served with the meal. Quantity wise is good Lunch shappadu bigger version 😄 🌟🌟🌟🌟- with 3 kinds of rice; jeera rice, tomato rice and veg biryani with remaining items served. Was good. Loved the flavours of the rice Cheese uthappam 🌟🌟🌟🌟 very yum. Cheesy and shd be consumed when served hot. Poori bhaaji 🌟🌟🌟🌟 good. Served hot pooris and kids equally loved the food since they are hard core poori bhaaji fan. Sambar vada 🌟🌟🌟🌟 yum. The vada was soft and sambar was absorbed with the vada. It was so soft and vada was beyond yum. Guntur podi idli 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 must try dish. I love their guntur podi which is sprinkled with the tiny idli. Coated well and was yummilicious.

Overall the food is good. Try out their idlis and uthappams. Curries are also nice with the porotta...
