Ankara Restaurant — Restaurant in Dubai

We came here after reading great reviews praising the home-made food and the service and we were so excited to come and try their famous iskender kebab. And it turned out to be the worst dining experience in my life. The iskender kebab was served cold and after we complained waiter explained that it’s the yogurt which made the meat cold. But it was clear to me that the food was not freshly prepared and just yogurt can’t make hot meat and sauce and even rice served on the side SO cold. Thus we insisted on replacing it with a hot meal or at least warming up the food…and the response from the restaurant manager was that it is what it is, this is how they serve their iskender kebab with the cold yogurt inside, hence meat became cold as well… And that’s all he said. No one at the restaurant seemed to care or was willing to help us out. I have tried a lot of Turkish food before and this was honestly the worst iskender I’ve ever had..actually I can easily say it was the worst food experience in my life as I have never been in a restaurant were they served food cold and on top of it were refusing to warm it up. Unfortunately, we had to pay and leave the place with no compensation offered or even a slight attempt from the staff to make our food experience better..even though the restaurant was empty. We are still shocked by the poor food quality and even worse..the absolutely careless attitude of the personnel.. Definitely will not recommend this...

You can say when need to retrieve the past days once came to dubai so need to visit this place since it one of the oldest restaurants in duabi . Place decoration still as it is nothing changed even though the staff you can say almost the same . They served you food as it is home made full of taste and love. What ever we tried and ate didn't disappointed us at all. Starting from the salad and bread till the Turkish tea all served well. Meals are of big portions ,you can share it with someone . They have special iskender kebab ,very tasty and special ,I didn't find same as this else where . Once you finished your meal they will offer you free Turkish tea which will make your day happy as you know Turkish tea it is special made . All in all this place for people they need to try something different than contemporary and modern places . Everything you will find there says a story. Service perfect. This restaurant get one of the saddest experience in my entire dubai life . Me and my friends set ready for taste some Turkish meal the man sit infront of the conter he is insulted us.
