Visited Hind Azad Restaurant in Jumeirah for the first time today with my family after discovering it on Instagram. We were excited to try something new and were lucky to get a table despite the crowd. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing.

We waited around 10–15 minutes just for someone to take our order. After placing our order, including drinks and food, we were told that one of the items the roll would take extra time. We were fine with that and asked them to serve whatever came first.

We got the drinks which took 10-15 minutes to arrive, and the roll never came until the very end after we had already finished our meal we asked them to cancel it. We were told it was now free, but we still refused it.

What made it worse was the attitude of the staff, especially one server he was dismissive and made us feel uncomfortable. When we asked if they could cut the roll into two, he said they didn’t have time and we would have to cut it ourselves because they are very busy. We were shocked and completely unacceptable. We also noticed other customers who came after us were served the same roll before us, which clearly shows poor coordination.

When we declined the roll after the meal, a man possibly the owner or manager told us “we cannot through the food in dustbin and we can take it for free”, which was impolite and even though it was their delay waited for more than 50 mins. He doesn’t know how to manage the situation and handle the customer. That’s not how customer service works. Telling a customer to take food they didn’t cannot waste food anymore, because the restaurant couldn’t manage timing, is completely unprofessional. Summary: Food: Average Service: Disappointing Staff attitude: Unprofessional Would I recommend it? Absolutely not. We had a wonderful dining experience at Azad Hind Dhaba in Dubai! This place truly captures the vibrant essence of a traditional Indian dhaba, right in the heart of the city. The atmosphere was cozy and full of energy — from the colorful décor to the desi music playing in the background, everything added to the experience.

What really stood out for us was the Kathi Roll — absolutely delicious and hands down our favorite item of the night! The flavors were rich, the roll was perfectly grilled, and the filling was just the right balance of spice and tenderness. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and cooked with authentic Indian flair.

The rest of the menu was equally tempting, and the staff was kind enough to give us a few recommendations based on what we enjoy. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The servers made sure we felt comfortable throughout our meal and even checked back to ask for feedback.

The pricing is quite reasonable considering the generous portion sizes and the quality of food. It’s a great place to go with friends or family, especially if you’re craving home-style North Indian flavors with a street food twist.
