I am writing this so no other family has to go through what mine did at this restaurant. What should have been a simple meal turned into one of the worst experiences of our lives.
First of all, while we were quietly eating and minding our own business, one waiter continuously harassed us. He kept opening the private room door without knocking and even attempted to flirt with me, my sisters, and my female cousins some of whom are underage. This behavior was disgusting and completely unacceptable in a family environment.
Secondly, at the end of our meal, that same waiter came to us with an incredibly rude attitude and told us we were banned from the restaurant. We were shocked we had simply been laughing, enjoying our food, and not disturbing anyone. When we asked why, he refused to give us any explanation. Instead, he became more aggressive snapping his fingers directly at us as if we were animals, raising his voice, and shouting that we could “never come back.” It was humiliating and deeply disrespectful.
When we tried to speak with the manager, the cashier told us he was not there and was “in Sharjah.” We asked if they could call him, but they refused. Instead, they brought out someone they introduced as the “head” of the restaurant and claimed he was the owner. We explained everything: that their staff had been flirting with underage girls, interrupting our meal, disrespecting us, and finally snapping his fingers and screaming at us. Shockingly, the so-called “head” acted just like the waiter. He offered no apology, no accountability, and simply told us to leave.
To make matters worse, as we were leaving, all of the workers began mocking us. They were literally singing and dancing to make fun of our family as we walked out humiliating us even further.
This is hands down the most atrocious, unprofessional, and disrespectful treatment I have ever experienced at a restaurant. For a place that claims to serve families, their behavior was beyond inappropriate and offensive.
I strongly warn anyone considering this restaurant: do NOT go. Not only is the staff untrained, but some of them also engage in outright harassment and mockery of customers. This is not a safe or welcoming place...
Read moreMandi Warsan is a welcome addition to the crowded Mandi scene in Jumeirah. The restaurant offers a unique blend of Yemeni and Indian cuisine, with dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying.
The restaurant is located in a convenient location, close to many other restaurants and shops. It offers valet parking services and has parking lots at the back. The interior is decorated in a traditional Yemeni style, with warm colors and intricate woodwork. The seating options are available between traditional floor seating and normal dining tables.
The complimentary soup is a good indication of what's to come. It's a rich and spicy broth that is sure to warm you up on a cold day. The Haneeth is also quite spicy, but the tender meat and flavorful spices make it worth the heat.
The rice is another highlight of the meal. It's cooked to perfection and is perfectly oily, in a good way. I especially enjoyed the Kabsa, which was moist and flavorful.
If you're not sure whether you want to go to an Indian restaurant or a Mandi restaurant, Warsan is the ideal place. The menu offers a variety of dishes that will appeal to both palates. There are lots of chicken, meat and fish dishes with a variety of rice types, not to mention the stews and breads.
The service at Mandi Warsan is also excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are always happy to make recommendations.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Mandi Warsan. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant wanting a floor seating arrangement. The first option they gave us had a dirty carpet, so we waited for another room. While waiting, my friend brought out a small board game to pass the time. No food had been served yet, but we were paying customers — we later ordered kunafa recommended from a friend and drinks. so this treatment was especially disappointing.
What’s strange is that on another visit, we played the exact same game in the second-floor room, and the day-shift waiter not only allowed it, but even laughed and asked about the game we were playing. No issue at all.
This time, the manager apparently saw us on camera and sent staff over. The first waiter approached us rudely, telling us to stop without giving a clear explanation beyond “not allowed.” I tried to understand the reason, but instead of explaining politely, he just repeated himself. We started packing the game away, but another waiter came over — again rudely — repeating the same thing even though we were already complying.
Their public reply claims they explained things “politely” and that it’s their policy. This is misleading. The problem was not the policy — it was the unprofessional and disrespectful way it was enforced. We were quiet, in a small group of three, and clearly not disturbing anyone.
To make matters worse, after posting this review, they asked us to leave. The excuse they gave was that we “ if we’re not going to order then leave” when in reality we had kunafa on the table and were about to order drinks. This just shows how poorly they...
