Been looking for a restaurant with a sea view in Dubai and came across this place on the Maps, and wanted to check it out. The map location is correct but one could not find it unless he/she asks around. It's entrance is shared with a transport authority building, and has few parking spots on the side, while parking on the street is shared with area residents. Lunching on Tuesday was not crowded, so we were able to get a table outside by the sea at this wonderful breezy and sunny day. In front of the restaurant is a marina for private yachts, and a fishing jetty. The menu is rather weird and explains why such a supposedly gem is not sought after. The service and the view were excellent but the restrictive menu and the food presentation were what drew me to give them three stars: we ordered the seafood pasta with tomato-basil sauce but it was tomato paste w no basil to taste or sight, and the seafood is made of tiny bits & pieces of cooking shrimp and cut calamari and tiny cubed fish. The lobster tail while of medium size was charred on the bottom and put on the plate with French fries that were coated with the charring. They should hv been brought as a side not on the same plate. The prices are way more than expected. This restaurant is a stand-alone building with an upper floor also with a sea view but was closed for renovation. Will try it once more to see of these suggestions improve the presentations...
Read moreWe had an incredible dining experience at The Coffee Shop by Seaview Restaurant and Seaview Restaurant. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The Seafood Platter was fresh and generous, the Linguine Pasta Seafood was rich, savory, and spicy as requested and the Tabbouleh Salad was light, refreshing, and perfectly seasoned. The Calamari was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Absolutely delicious!
Equally impressive were their coffee selections. Both the hot coffee and ice-cold coffees were smooth, flavorful, and a perfect way to wrap up the meal. The ambiance of the coffee shop is very minimalist, clean and relaxing.
A special thank you to RJ, the manager, for the warm welcome and outstanding service. Your attention to detail made our visit even more memorable.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic meal with great ambiance and top-notch service. We'll definitely...
Read moreWhen the restaurant first opened it was OK in terms of the service and the food (I have been a regular customer). The prices are high because you pay for the location and view of the harbour (nice view). The quality of both the service and the food have deteriorated over time. The restaurant has become so bad that they completely missed items on my last order and when questioned had no answers and made no attempt to solve the problem. The manager’s name is Azam. He’s soft spoken but was slow to take responsibility and action. The supervisor Abu Yousef has an astonishingly poor attitude and appeared to be almost useless. I wouldn’t recommend this place anymore. It’s become a tourist trap (poor value for money). There are alternatives in the area.
Edit: poor response from their management further justifies my review and other 1 star reviews. I named and shamed their...
