I am writing to share my recent experience at the Al Barsha branch of your restaurant, where I have always enjoyed the amazing food, particularly the mandi. It is a place I look forward to visiting every time I'm in Dubai. However, during my latest visit, I encountered a disappointing experience related to the staff's behavior and service. Unfortunately, the loud conversations among the staff made it difficult for guests to enjoy their meals and even have conversations with one another. It significantly impacted the ambiance of what is usually a delightful dining environment. Additionally, I faced an issue with my order. I ordered zurabian rice but was served plain mandi rice instead. When I brought it to their attention, instead of resolving the mistake gracefully, the staff argued that the dish was indeed zurabian rice. My previous visits have given me a clear understanding of your menu, and it felt dismissive when they insisted otherwise. Though they eventually tried to remedy this by adding some zurabian rice over what was already served, it felt more like a half-hearted attempt rather than proper customer service. I believe that such experiences are not reflective of your restaurant's quality and reputation. It seems that if management is not actively overseeing operations, issues like these can arise more frequently. I sincerely hope you can re-evaluate staff training and management practices to ensure that your restaurant continues operating at its best and maintains its good reputation. Thank you for taking the time to consider...
Read moreOverlooking the bustling Mall of the Emirates, Bait Ul Mandi on Barsha Street is more than just a restaurant—it’s a memory etched in flavor. The first time I tried their Meat Mandi, I knew I’d found something special. Tender, aromatic, and perfectly spiced, the dish struck a balance between tradition and comfort that few places manage to achieve.
From that first bite, it became a regular ritual. Whether dining in or taking away, the consistency was remarkable. The rice—fragrant and fluffy—paired beautifully with the slow-cooked meat, which was always served hot and fall-off-the-bone tender. The accompanying tomato salsa, yogurt, and soup added layers of texture and taste that elevated the meal beyond expectation.
The ambiance is modest yet welcoming, with views of the Mall adding a touch of urban charm to the otherwise traditional setting. Service is quick, courteous, and unobtrusive—letting the food do the talking. It’s the kind of place where you feel at home, whether you’re grabbing a solo lunch or sharing a feast with friends.
Having visited regularly during my time in Dubai, I can confidently say Bait Ul Mandi became a culinary anchor—a place I returned to not just for the food, but for the comfort it brought. It’s a restaurant that understands its roots and delivers with heart.
If you’re in Dubai and craving authentic Mandi with soul, this spot is a must. Unforgettable, flavorful, and...
Read moreRecently we went there with my family. We went to have meat mandi because previously we have had chicken mandi and it was very good.
Negative: Meat Mandi.. more like Soup meat plate.. It was a dissapoitment this time, a good chef makes a good restaurant, unfortunately the meat mandi lacked taste and color .it just looked and tasted as if the cooker made a soup with laurel and cardamon. NO color .. NO taste.. just a meat taken out of a soup. Perhaps the chef needs to take a look on YouTube Saudi Food with Eman to see how a meat mandi MUST look, it has to look somehow brownish red not Grey.
Positive
We also had some chicken kebab with fries and some sauces, those were very very tasty, the veggies also were tasty. The fries were crispy and had a good taste and the garlic sauce was amazing.
•Staff was very kind and smiley always asking if we need something or not.. but he never came with the Pepsi we asked for LOL 😂😂 • Food is big, they give you plenty of rice to fullfill easily 3 foreigners stomach.. and one Arab stomach. So if you are foreigner like us you may not order many portions because they are huge.
Cost wise you can find meals from like 24 Dh up to almost 600Dh and something/ which is a whole animal cooked (meat)
