Everything first timer might want to know about - Specially tourists with kids.
It’s better to go through the website and check what kind of experience you would like and save time once you get there . Book your tickets earlier and make sure you are aware which rides your kids can do .
The check in process takes time because first you will check in , then you will collect your gloves and then shoes and clothes . Check the shoes there itself as they are quite different from regular sizing so you don’t have to return again from the changing rooms .
The gloves and socks you get are decent but not waterproof so it’s worth it to upgrade kids gloves specially for the waterproof ones as they will be playing with snow a lot . The jacket and shoes are functional too . The temperature inside will be -3 degrees.
You can book any special experience before enjoying the park so you can plan the whole visit around it . We did penguin encounter . It was good fun and you can touch them as well . We only met two penguins . You are not allowed to take photos and videos but they take for you and sell it back to you for a crazy price .
Once you enter the park it’s quite easy to navigate and you can enjoy the rides at your discretion. We had the day pass which includes unlimited rides . Definitely fun for kids . When you take the chairlift - stop at the cafe and enjoy a hot chocolate there with a good view of the park .
The staff we met throughout the day was a mix of polite and frustrated people . Some were obviously tired of repeating the instructions to people and others looked like they hated their job . No one stood out as a helpful and happy employee .
As soon as you enter the park , there is a cafe with food and hot chocolate and in the same area you can enjoy the penguin show at 3 and 6 PM. There is a restaurant attached outside with ski dubai .I wont recommend it as the service was horrible there .
There are plenty of people who are doing skiing and skateboard classes who might be regulars there. They seemed to be doing their own thing and you wont cross paths with them unless you are there to ski as well or they come for the rides.
The biggest rip off and the reason for 3 star rating is the crazy amount of money they charge at the exit . They will take a lot of photos for you at entrance and at the penguin encounter but each photo is 150 dirhams to get from them . Which is 42 usd , 32 pounds or 38 euros . JUST FOR ONE PHOTO. I refused to even view them at that price . We took enough with our phones in the park .
Parking is for 6 hours with ski dubai pass so get it validated. Mostly likely they will say to show your wrist band at exit but the staff at exit will ask to validate from ski dubai itself .
Overall the park was well organised and not so busy but please consider that I visited on a weekday in the early afternoon during Ramadan . Weekends and busy tourist times will mean there are far more people and long ques.
BEST TIP- Even in this day and age they give you clothes with no pockets for your phone . There is a pocket in your left sleeve but not big enough for most phones . Anyways you would want to take photos and videos but if you are wearing there gloves you won’t be able to use touchscreen function on your phone. There is an easy fix for that - We Borrowed the scissor at the cafe and cut the top half of our thumb glove part . This way you can keep wearing your glove and still use your phone . I will attach a picture too.

Read moreDuration: 3 -4 hours (You get a full day pass so enjoy as much as you can) Ratings: 8/10 (Must-Do for tourists who haven't experienced snow) Ski Dubai is a great place for people who need to chill (quite literally) in the scorching heat of Dubai. For people living in tropical areas who don't get a chance to see snow Ski Dubai is a must-visit attraction. The Good: Entertainment value: Ski Dubai has a snow park with several slides, which you can do on tubes, sleds, and also zorb balls. Then there are dashing cars. There are different types of fun activities on different types of slopes to keep you busy for hours. Of course, just playing with snow and making snowmen is fun enough. Even small kids of 3- 4 years can do almost all rides and have lots of fun. For ski enthusiasts, some slopes look good for skiing. (I don't know to ski so can't comment on that aspect). But even without skiing, there were enough activities to keep us engaged for hours. There are penguin shows (interaction with penguins and some other activities cost extra ) Overall it has a lot of fun value. There are cafes inside the park for munching and hot chocolates and warm drinks. Food quality is ok. Edit Image The Not-So-Good. Firstly, the Thrill factor. most of the slides were fun but nothing scary. One slide where you zoom down the slope on a tube at 45 km/hour was fun, just like a waterslide in waterparks. So not too much thrill for adventure seekers. Maybe skiing is a thrill but they don't allow beginners until you take learning classes (We were short on time so didn't opt for these lessons. They come at a cost. I took these lessons in Ski-Egypt and they were real fun there. So maybe you can go for it if your budget allows) They provide warm clothes, shoes, and gloves (no caps so better carry your own). Clothes are okay but after an hour or so u start feeling cold. The quality of the accessories should be upgraded. The WoW Factor: Getting to play with snow in the middle of the desert is absolute WoW. The slides and other activities created inside the park are fun. And most importantly, kids can do most slides and activities inside the snow park and have a lot of fun just playing with the snow. So it's worth every penny to take them there (kids below 2 years are not allowed inside the park. So if u are traveling with an infant better skip the snow park). There is also a kid's play area with small slides. Edit Image Money Matters: Around 250 Aed is pricey but it's worth the experience. I would surely choose it over many other more famous activities any day. The 5-Point Experience: We had a blast. I have already described in detail why this place should be on the go-to list of people visiting Dubai. Complete family fun. And What is a better way to beat the heat of Dubai than some cool fun in the snow? My Verdict:...
