My anticipation for the Porsche pop-up cafe, nestled within the charming Vila 515, was substantial, fueled by the promise of a unique brand experience. However, the reality of my visit proved to be a profound disappointment, a stark contrast to the expectations associated with the Porsche name. Arriving at approximately 11:40 am, I was immediately met with the unsettling news that a significant portion of the menu items were unavailable, a perplexing situation for a cafe operating during what should have been a peak service period. The subsequent wait for our simple order of coffee and juice was excessively protracted, testing the limits of patience. When the coffee finally arrived, it was regrettably of substandard quality, a far cry from the refined experience one would anticipate. Furthermore, our attempt to sample the cafe's dessert offerings was met with further frustration. We placed orders for three distinct desserts, only to be informed that only one was actually available, highlighting a clear lack of preparedness and operational efficiency. Beyond the superficial presence of Porsche signage, there was a conspicuous absence of any meaningful connection to the brand's core identity. The display of Porsche-branded boxed Arabic perfumes seemed particularly incongruous, bearing no discernible relationship to the driving experience or the automotive heritage that defines Porsche. This misalignment of branding elements contributed to a sense of disconnect and diluted the overall impact of the pop-up concept. Finally, the valet service, an amenity often associated with premium establishments, proved to be another source of significant delay. The extended wait time further compounded the negative impression, culminating in a deeply unsatisfactory experience. In summary, the Porsche pop-up cafe at Vila 515 fell far short of expectations, representing a considerable letdown for the Porsche brand and its...
Read moreI sat in the terrace to get the coffee and sweet. I asked for a Siphon coffee and a chocolate cookie. After a while, the waiter came back saying it’s not possible to serve any brew coffee at the moment except V60 because the barista is on training, so the person in charge of the bar at the moment can not make it. How can this happen? What kind of management is this? If there is not available barista who knows how to prepare this coffees must put in the rota another one who can and prepare them. In this case, I order a double espresso instead. After that “double espresso” and cookie came, I saw it really short coffee and I asked again if it’s double. The waiter confirmed it was. Honestly, I work as professional barista in a luxury hotel in Business Bay, and during my whole experience as barista in Australia, UK, Spain and UAE, I can say that was not a double espresso.
Anyways, I expected a much better management. You can not leave the coffee shop without barista.
Apart from all of this, I have to say staff have incredible and polite manners. The waiter was really sweet. I can understand how hard hospitality can be, he treated the situation and apologised the best he could. This was the only reason why I did not do any drama and why I give 3 stars instead of 2. He’s a nice professional, so...
Read moreI visited this cafe recently and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the food and coffee were excellent. The coffee was rich and full of flavour — clearly made with quality beans and well-prepared. I also ordered the risotto, which was beautifully cooked: creamy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavour. It’s clear the kitchen knows what they’re doing.
However, the overall atmosphere and service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, our table was dirty — it had crumbs and some sticky spots — and no one came to clean it, even after we were seated and had started ordering. It felt a bit neglected, which took away from the otherwise enjoyable meal.
The seating situation was also uncomfortable. We originally sat outside, but there was no cooling at all — no fans or misters — and it was incredibly hot, especially on a warm day. We ended up moving inside, but the air conditioning there was extremely strong, to the point of being unpleasant. There doesn’t seem to be a comfortable middle ground between sweltering heat and freezing cold.
Overall, the food and coffee were genuinely great, and I’d consider coming back for those alone. But I really hope they improve the cleanliness and comfort of the space — it would make a big difference to the...
