Pleasant ambience inside Dubai Hills Mall

Service was ok, though I couldn't call it warm and friendly. 'functional' would be accurate.

The cheese and tomato croissant was good sized with generous cheese contrnt - but zero flavour - completely absent of any seasoning. Very bland. No seasoning or other accompaniment provided

We ordered Cortado coffees

This was VERY POOR.

The coffee flavour was fine but firstly, even though we were sitting in the cafe at a table, they lazily served the coffees in disposable cups AND put plastic lids on. A complete waste of resources and production of trash. For dine-in, you should use washable cups. But even for the disposable cups, why put a lid on for dine in guests. Lazy and environmentally damaging

Secondly, they do not know how to make a Cortado. This should be about equal parts of expresso and steamed milk. Not foamed.

Our cortados were drowned in milk with probably about 5:1 ratio. Nothing like a Cortado - it was a smaller flat white

You should train your barristas to do this properly and stop them wasting resources with disposable...

The UAE is a coffee aficionado’s dream - a customer base that loves (and knows about) their coffee and a plethora of fantastic specialty coffee shops to try the best coffee drinks in the world. Sadly, this shop is certainly not one of those.

Starting with the positives, the location is nice, inviting, and open. Situated across from the movie theater, it has plenty of seating and is quite well designed and decorated.

The staff is friendly and helpful.

However, the coffee is atrocious. I asked for a flat white and got a drink with way too much milk, not properly microfoamed. I was only too happy to toss it into the garbage after two sips.

Based on the drink they served me, I am likely to (happily) skip this place in favor of the many other fabulous coffee places in Dubai.
