Matter by iCoffee - Dubai Hills Mall — Restaurant in Dubai

I’ve been a regular at Matter Coffee in Dubai Hills Mall and truly loved the consistency and comfort of visiting this café often ordering the same dish from the menu each time. The staff has generally been pleasant, and the ambiance is great.

However, I was quite disappointed with my recent experience. I brought my husband along, excited to share one of my favorite spots with him. I ordered the same dish I always do, and as usual, I selected my preferences based on the options listed clearly on the menu. Unfortunately, the person serving us insisted that “this is our signature, we don’t change,” and only offered to serve the requested item on the side.

Just the day before, I had visited with a guest and ordered the same dish with my preferred modifications without any issue. I even showed a photo from that visit, but the staff took it to the kitchen and simply responded, “We only have two chefs,”.

As someone who visits regularly and has always enjoyed Matter, this lack of consistency and unwillingness to accommodate even with a clear menu structure was disappointing. I hope the management considers improving communication between the kitchen and service team and values loyal customers who keep...

this iCoffee recently opened & i had the pleasure of visiting. they’re located on the leftmost front side of the mall, right next to centrepoint.

their interior is modernly designed with comfortable seating, creating a lovely atmosphere. the employees were all kind and patient, checking on us and answering our questions. that made the experience joyful 👍🏻🥰

i ended up trying trying the hot mocha & burnt cheesecake. my friend tried their hot cappuccino with a plain cheesecake.

i throughly enjoyed the burnt cheesecake, it was sooo thick yet felt light to eat and was creamy with a small hint of sourness that makes a perfect cheesecake 👌🏻

the regular cheescake was great too (you can add toppings to reg. cheesecakes too!) & cappuccino. now as for the mocha, i was not a fan as it was quite acidic/bitter more than sweet/chocolaty. i’ve had alottt of mochas & coffees and this one definitely isn’t my favorite and i unfortunately don’t recommend it. i definitely recommend you still try out their other menu items.
